| 10221 | FRANK HARMON At his home in Richland, last Wednesday morning, Frank Harmon passed away. He had been ill only a few months with enlargement of the heart. Since Thanksgiving day he had not been able to lie down in bed, resting and sleeping while sitting in a chair. Much of this time George N. Salisbury has been with him a nurse. He was taken ill while at work in Syracuse, and was brought to the home of his mother-in-law, Mrs. James Lindsay, at Lacona, where he remained until a few weeks since, when he went to the home of his brother-in-law, Gilford Lindsey. From there he was taken to his home in Richland, Saturday, March 24. The sleighing was excellent that day, and he made the journey without fatigue. His death came suddenly, and although he was not as strong as he had been, it was unexpected and he passed away without suffering. Mr. Harmon was a son of Plowden Harmon, a life long resident of the town of Sandy Creek, the family home being on the Pulaski road about a mile south of the village where Fred Lillis now resides. Here he grew to manhood, when he was married, some thirty years ago, to Abbie Lindsey, daughter of the late Captain Stephen Lindsey, of the town of Sandy Creek. Twenty-five years ago he entered the employ of the B.W.& O. railroad and his life since then had been actively spent a fireman and engineer on the various branches of this line. For the past twenty years or more he had been in charge of an engine most of the time. Some five years ago he engaged in the coal business at Richland, and had since resided in Pulaski and Syracuse, where he had charge of the round house. Mr. Harmon was a member of the Pulaski Lodge, F. & A.M., and the funeral was held at the family home in Richland on Saturday with Masonic honors, Rev. T.T. Davis being the officiating clergyman. Interment at Woodlawn cemetery. Mr. Harmon is survived by his wife, who has been most devoted during his illness, and one sister Mrs Jane Snyder, who has been ill at the Harmon home since her arrival from the west, Mar. 31. No complaining word has passed Mr. Harmon's lips during his illness.
