11111 Her obituary in Sandy Creek News, undated ( but in year she died) reads:

"The youngest of four daughters of Captain John and Elinor MacMartin, LeMoine Ripson, was born at Daysville, New York, May 14, 1856. Her father was a captain on the Great Lakes, and, naturally, had many adventures incident to the vocation which he followed.

Completing her education, Miss Ripson served as a teacher for six years in the rural schools of her community. January 9, 1884, she became the bride of J. Spencer Knollin, a well-known farmer of Sandy Creek, N.Y., and for slightly over thirty years they resided on a farm near the Ellisburg Road, about two miles outside of the village. When they retired from farming, they moved to Sandy Creek, and lived on North Main Street until 1927.

They then went to Pulaski, where they made their home with the late Hartwell Douglass, whose wife was a sister of Mrs. Knollin. There Mr. Knollin passed away on August 8, 1930. But Mrs. Knollin continued to reside at Pulaski until the death of Mr. Douglass on February 3, 1936. The following April she came to the home of her daughter Mrs Reo Hadley, on the Hadley Road. There the closing period of life was spent. She approached advanced age serenely and happily. March 29th, 1938, life came peacefully to its close. Her final illness lasted about a week, death being due to the infirmities incident to age. She was the last member of her family to pass to join the others in the eternal reunion.

Genial in her disposition, thoughtful and neighborly in her relation to others, her circle of friends was wide. Many of them gathered with the family for the funeral services at the Hadley home on April 1st. The Rev. Dr. William J. Hart, a former pastor, conducted the funeral, assisted by the Rev. Walter S. Dobbie, and the body was laid to rest in the local cemetery.

Two daughters, Mrs Reo Hadley, Sandy Creek, and Mrs. Fred Thomas, Kasoag, survive to cherish the memory of a devoted mother.

The deceased was a member of the local Methodist Episcopal church, and was greatly interested it its welfare. She now belongs to the radiant triumphant company, of whom sometimes we sing:

'More homelike seems the vast unknown
Since they have entered there;
To follow them were not so hard.
Wherever they may fare,
They cannot be where God is not,
Or any sea; or shore;
Whate'er betides, Thy love abides,

11130 Herbert Marsden - October 10, 1876 - November 27, 1892. Son of Franklin and Charlotte Kelso Marsden. Section 2, Row 6.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, December 1, 1897 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Texas, November 29, 1897 - Saturday evening, November 27, Herbert Marsden, only son of Harrison and Charlotte Marsden, passed away after but a few days illness. All that kind friends and physicians could do was of no avail. Bert, as he was familiarly called, was an unusually bright and interesting boy of 16 years, standing high in scholarly attainments, a student at the Union School at Mexico and a general favorite among his associates. His parents, especially his almost heartbroken mother, who frantic with grief and in a reduced condition of health, is almost unable to bear the shock, have the sympathy of all. May she learn to say with the poet, "He gave, He took, He will restore, He doeth all things well." The funeral will be attended from the house on Tuesday, the 30th, at 11 a.m., Elder Peck of New Haven officiating.
Newspaper Obituary - Friday, December 3, 1897 Oswego Daily Times - Oswego, New York - Herbert Marsden, youngest son of Harrison and Charlotte Marsden, died at his home in Texas, Saturday, November 27, 1897, after an illness of but only six days, aged 16 years, 1 month, 17 days. All was done that anxious, loving hearts and willing hands could do but all in vain and Saturday he passed away. Words would be too weak to describe the heart breaking grief of the parents, whose once happy home is made desolate by the early death of their boy. He was a bright, active boy of good habits, affectionate and dutiful in his home, and was much beloved and will be sincerely mourned by all who knew him. Besides a large circle of friends he leaves a father, mother, two brothers and three sisters who have the sympathy of the entire community in their great bereavement.

11132 Herbert White was a successful real estate agent broker/owner of White's Realty. Longtime "Wheel of Fortune" hostess Vanna White was raised by Herbert after her mother, Joan, and her biological father Miguel Angel Rosich, separated when she was an infant. Vanna took Herbert's last name before initially achieving stardom as the iconic "Wheel of Fortune" hostess in 1982. Herbert Stackley White Jr. was 96 (and ½) years old. We included the ½ because every single day mattered to him. He had such a sly sense of humor that it's no wonder he chose April Fool's Day to leave. He wanted to bring us one last touch of laughter. Herbert was preceded in death by his father and mother Herbert S. White Sr and Marie Brockington White along with his older siblings Delores, Jack, Herbert Jr (oddly after this Herbert died soon after birth they later named dad Herbert Jr), Virginia Carmichael, Frances Gordon and younger brother Delong White, a daughter Paula Kelly Vinesett and son Chris Smith, along with two wives, JoAnn Spencer Celani and Joan Nicholas White. He has been happily married to Paula Bayne White for 40 years. They have had an amazing life together. He is the father of Joe Spencer White (Orlando), Vanna White (John), Chip White (Eve), Dawn Lee, Hope Norbech (James) and Grandfather to Richard and Michael Cook, Elizabeth Ann Vinesett, Tea Norbech, Kyra Ethridge, Brittany Alloway, Kit Smith and Crawford White. Plus a host of great-grand-children. It truly is difficult to describe his life on paper. For close to 66 years he called North Myrtle Beach (Cherry Grove and Crescent Beach) home. He loved this community; was proud of the growth he saw and did all he could to make it a better place for people to live and vacation. Wherever he traveled he told folks of this wonderful beach that he called home. Here he ran restaurants, a hot dog stand, worked 20+ years in Post Office (Crescent, Windy Hill and Main branch), sold real estate until he completely lost his eyesight. Even then he would wander to the office and chat with other agents' potential buyers. He quietly helped others without bragging or expecting anything in return. He would help young professionals learn the real estate ropes from the law to selling. He silently helped families in need with donations of goods and money, and always gave generously to his town. He also had his strong political opinions and loved America, 'his country' as he called it. He was often seen wearing his Korean War Veteran cap and talking with other vets about their service. He supported and honored all vets. He didn't like the spotlight although received tons of attention. He was always dressed to the nines in his sports coat, slacks, button up shirt and nice dress shoes. Everyone loved Herbert! The world knew how proud he was of his wife and family. We can only hope he knew how proud we were of him and the man he was. How grateful we are for the love, the life lessons and wonderful memories he provided for all of us. Yes, there are so many things we left out, couldn't remember, didn't have space for or honestly still don't know about him. He lived a full and happy life. We will miss him, we will cherish the time we had with him, we will continue to share tears, love, laughter and tales among family and friends.
