Mrs. DeShane suffered a shock Sunday evening July 9th and remained in a coma until she passed away Friday afternoon. Laura Eddy was born April 29th, 1877 in the town of Albion, a daughter of Thomas and Sarah Eddy. She was married to Orrin DeShane Nov. 22, 1902 at Sandy Creek. Nearly all of Mrs. DeShane's life was spent in the town of Richland, residing at the home where she died for the past 17 years. All he life Mrs. DeShane had been active in the service of others. A lover of humanity, she possessed the love and esteem of every one who knew her. Besides he husband, Mrs. DeShane is survived by two sisters, Mrs. James Colvin of Richland and Mrs. Emma Colvin of Oneida. Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon at 2 oclock. She married Frank Earl Sanderson Jr. on Nov. 8, 1933, at the Richland Methodist Episcopal Church parsonage with the Rev. Harold H. Barnard officiating. Mr. Sanderson, former town of Orwell assessor, died Nov. 20, 1933. She married Frank Krumenacker, a retired carpenter, Oct. 14, 1978. He died Sept. 20, 1983. Surviving are three sons, Frank E. Sanderson, Pillar Point, James E. Sanderson, Calabash, N.C., and Larry G. Sanderson, Volney; two daughters, Judy E. Daugherty, Orwell, and Cindy L. Newspaper Obituary - July 9, 2005 Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - PHOENIX MAN ADMITS ROLE IN FATAL CRASH - Dennis R. Cullen pleaded guilty Friday in Oswego County Court to criminally negligent homicide and assault. Cullen, 35, of 34 Barnes St., Apt. 5, Phoenix, had been charged with manslaughter and assault. The sentence for criminally negligent homicide can be up to four years in prison. A manslaughter conviction can carry a sentence of up to 15 years. On the assault charge, Cullen could be sentenced to as many as seven years in prison. According to Oswego police, Cullen has a history of falling asleep while driving and may have done so on the afternoon of March 30. The Volkswagen Beetle Cullen was driving crossed the center lane of state Route 481 in Oswego and struck a car driven by Richard T. "Dick" Pearson. Pearson, 68, was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, Adelia, 66, was taken by helicopter to University Hospital. Court documents say Mrs. Pearson suffered six broken ribs, a punctured spleen, a bruised bladder and shattered elbow in the crash. Cullen also was injured in the crash. Family members at the time said he had a broken leg, fractured pelvis and broken ribs, among other injuries. He spent several days in the hospital. After retirement he and his wife traveled the United States with their camper. He also enjoyed helping his sons in their business. He was a Master Instructor for Hunter Safety. He was a lifetime member of NRA. He was also active in Boy Scout Troop 865. Past member of the Albion Fish and Game Club. He is survived by his wife Yvonne Wyman Parker, son, Brian and Cindy Parker of Pulaski, son Craig and Rose Marie Parker of Pulaski, three grandchildren, Teresa Gauthier, Ashley Parker, John Parker and his wife Samantha. A native of Eastwood, Mr. Adams lived in Liverpool 17 years. He retired after 30 years with the New Process Gear Division of Chrysler Corp. Mr. Adams served with the 1st Marine Division during World War II. Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Weaver; two daughters, Rita Wilkinson of Brewerton and Karen Justian of Skaneateles; two sons, Michael of Weedsport and Steven of Roanoke, Va.; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was for several years Boylston Town Clerk and was formerly a member of Rising Sun Grange, Boylston.
