| 15801 | Newspaper Obituary - November 12, 1891 Sandy Creek News - Stewart - In Richland, N.Y. Nov 8, 1891, Harriet, wife of Dexter W. Stewart, aged 65 years. Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, November 12, 1891 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - In Richland, New York, November 3, 1891, Harriet, wife of Dexter W. Stewart, aged 55 years. From her youth she was possessed with an amiable, patient disposition. In the society where she moved she was loved and admired by all. In trouble she faced it with a smiling countenance, as if to say, there is no cloud but has a silver lining for those who believe in God. If she could speak, she would say to her dear companion and children, do not get discouraged; be thoughtful, be earnest, kindhearted and true, look ever to Jesus, he will carry you through. Remember always at an hour when we think least, the Son of Man cometh. She has left a record behind her that is worthy of imitation. Those that knew her best loved her best. She leaves a husband, one son and three daughters. She was a sister of John Hubbs, of Richland, and G. L. Hubbs, of Pulaski. In her home and by her kind neighbors she will be greatly missed, for she was an indulgent, self-sacrificing mother, a kind and affectionate companion. | 15817 | Newspaper Obituary - November 1871 Pulaski Democrat - Mrs. Levi Upton, 32, Richland died, Oct. 31. Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, November 30, 1871 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - At Richland, October 31st, of consumption, Mrs. Sally, wife of Levi Upton, aged 32. Faithful in the varied relation of life and in the important duties of the religion she professed, after a long and distressing illness. She passed peacefully away to the paradise above. She leaves a companion, two children and a number of relatives to mourn her loss. In her death, her companion has lost a kind and affectionate wife and a pleasant companion. Bereaved companion, we truly sympathize with you in your affliction. To the rest of the bereaved friends, we would say weep not for the dead, but heed that gentle voice, which so sweetly calls you to be ready for that change, which soon awaits you. Calmly she sleeps, no tearful grief can break that last repose. The aching heart has found relief from its fierce throng of woes. Clasped in the snow white hand of death, shedding their rich perfume, a few sweet flowers lend their breath and cheer the darkened tomb. Yet all has passed, the strife is over, the soul has gained release; and sweetly smiles the silent lips as if she sleeps in peace. | Stewart, Sally (I20345)
