Fone Jr., 48, Ellis Road, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial will be in Ellisburg Cemetery. Mr. Fone was was pronounced dead at 8:36 p.m. Wednesday at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, after suffering an epileptic seizure at his home. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Surviving are his father, Ernest Fone, Mannsville; his mother, Mrs. Ward (Eva) Sampson, Mannsville; two sisters, Brenda Mullin, Parish, and Elizabeth Berghorn, South Rutland; three half-sisters, Debra Sampson, Mannsville, Belinda Fone, Watertown, and Connie Fone, California; three half-brothers, Ward Sampson Jr., Mannsville, Randy Fone, Plattsburgh, and Dennis Fone, Adams, and nieces and nephews. Born Jan. 8, 1945, son of Ernest and Eva Stewart Fone, he was a 1965 graduate of Mannsville-Manor Central School. After graduation, he moved to Syracuse, where he was employed by a messenger service for several years. The funeral was held from the home yesterday at 1 p.m. He leaves a wife and three children, Maude, Mabel and Raymond, who have the sympathy of all in their great affliction. Mr. Price was a life long resident of Daysville and was loved and respected by the entire community He was a member of the Daysville Grange, P. of H. 15853 Newspaper Obituary - November 6, 1952 Pulaski Democrat - Last rites for Burton O. Spencer, 76, lifelong farmer of the Town of Albion, were held from the Dugway Methodist church, Wednesday. Preceded by a prayer service at the home. Interment was made in the Dugway cemetery. Mr. Spencer's death occurred while at the wheel of his automobile while driving on Rt. 11 near Maple View, Saturday afternoon. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mamie Chapman Spencer; one daughter, Mrs. Earl Sperling of Syracuse; one son, Erwin Spencer, Pulaski, R.D.; one brother, William Sheeley, Auburn. Mr. Spencer was born June 10, 1876 in the Town of Albion, the son of Wesley and Lavina Spencer and had always been a farmer in that section. He was a member of the Dugway Methodist church, the Albion Center grange, president of the Dugway Cemetery Association and a Republican.

Spencer To Be Buried Wednesday - Pulaski - Funeral services for Burton Ora Spencer, 76, who died of a coronary thrombosis while driving his car on Route 11 one mile north of Mapleview Saturday afternoon, will be conducted on Wednesday. A prayer service will be held at the home at 1:30 P.M., followed by services at the Dugway Methodist Church at 2 P.M. with the Reverend Rich, former pastor assisted by the Reverend Dobbie officiating. Interment will be in Dugway Cemetery. Mr. Spencer was born in Albion on June 10, 1876, the son of Wesley and Lavinia Spencer. His life was spent in that vicinity and he was employed as a farmer. He was a member of the Dugway Methodist Church, Albion Center Grange, Dugway Cemetery official and a Republican committeeman from that part of the county. Surviving him are his wife, the former Mamie Chapman; a daughter, Earl Sperling, Syracuse; and a son, Erwin Spencer, Pulaski; a brother, William Sheeley, Auburn; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She lived most of her life in the Back Mountain areas of Harveys Lake and Trucksville, with time spent in North Wales, Pa. to be close to her family.Graduating from Lake-Noxen Joint High School in 1953, she chose a career in nursing. She was a proud graduate of the Nesbitt Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1956. Her motto was "Once a nurse, always a nurse." She spent her entire career at NMH, retiring in the 1990s. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Orin R. Beckerman, and infant son, Jamie. Surviving are her daughter, Brenda Navin; son-in-law, Michael; and beloved granddaughter and best friend, Rebecca. Mom chose to be cremated. We will celebrate her life with a 4 p.m. memorial service and dinner on Sunday at Trucksville United Methodist Church, 17 W. Church Road, Trucksville. She wasn't one for black or dark days, so come in your most colorful attire. Children are welcome. Carnes, 77, of 17 Niagara St., died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, Syracuse, where he had been a patient for about two weeks. Mr. Carnes was an engineer for New York Central Railroad, later known as Conrail, retiring in 1982 after 42 years of service. Before moving to Pulaski in 1937, he lived in Williamsport, Pa., and Jersey Shore, Pa. Mr. Carnes, who served in the Navy Seabees' 87th Battalion from 1943 to 1946, was a member of Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7289. He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. Born June 25, 1921, at Pueblo, Colo., son of William E. and Mary Hopkins Carnes, he graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1939, and attended Michigan State College, East Lansing. He married Rita S. Stewart on May 29, 1943. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, John S., Lacona, and James W., Pulaski; a daughter, Margaret L. Carnes, Washington, D.C.; and five grandchildren. A grandson died Oct. 2, 1994. A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Church with the Rev. John F. Hogan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Mrs. Orton was of a quiet and retiring nature, and the community feel they have lost one whom they loved. She was a kind wife, a good mother and was loved by all. He was employed by the Oswego County Highway Department, was a heavy-equipment operator and member of Operating Engineers, Arizona, from 1970 to 1977 and retired as a self-employed logging contractor in 1984. Born June 22, 1927, in the town of Hastings, son of Ralph and Lucy Colvin Currier, he was raised and educated in Osceola. He lived in Orwell and Arizona before moving to Pulaski in 2001. A marriage ended in divorce. He served in the Merchant Marine from 1944 to 1945 and in the Army from 1945 to 1946. Surviving besides his son and daughter-in-law are two other sons, Allan R., Oregon, Wis., and James R., Orwell; a daughter and her husband, Carol and Charles Miles, Lacona; three brothers, John, Pulaski, Ralph, Osceola, and Owen, Sandy Creek; two sisters, Ruth Reynolds, Osceola, and Marcia Mechensky, Ocala, Fla.; 27 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Stewart, passed away at the home of her daughter last Tuesday evening, aged 84 years. About three weeks ago Mrs. Noble was stricken with a shock of paralysis and sustained another severe stroke on the day previous to her death, and gradually failed until death relieved her suffering. 15880 Newspaper Obituary - October 16, 1935 Malone Farmer - Malone, New York - Peter Russell Dies Following Car Accident - Peter Russell, a venerable and highly esteemed Malone resident, passed away Thursday morning at the home of his son, Sherry, at 97 Pleasant Street. He would have been 83 years of age had he lived until next March. Mr.Russell's death followed an accident in which he was struck by an automobile on the evening of October 1 while he was walking on the Franklin Street Road toward the home of his son, George Russell. He suffered injuries to his head and also appeared to have received internal injuries. Mr. Russell was born in the town of Fort Covington and had lived in Malone practically all of his life. A few years of his early childhood were spent in Canada where his family lived for a short time. He was united in marriage many years ago to Jane Boyea who pre deceased him in 1908. During his life he was employed in farm work and had been active up to the time of his injury, only recently aiding his sons in their work. He had made his home with his son, Sherry for the past 22 years. Her mother had left her at the house, with one or two smaller children, while she went to a neighbor's on an errand. She was absent not to exceed half an hour, and on her return found her daughter dead in the wood-house, where she had gone after vainly endeavoring to extinguish the flames on a lounge, and otherwise. Her clothes were almost entirely burned off.
