Mrs. Lawson was born in Richland, N.Y. but lived most of her life in the Albany area. She was employed by the Simmons Machine Tool Corp. in Menands. Mrs. Lawson was the wife of the late James H. Lawson. She is survived by her sisters, Mabel Goodwin of Little Falls and Marguerite Kovack of Albany; her niece, Mary Lou (John) Grainer; her grandnephew Jeff (Cindy) Grainer; and her great-grandniece Shohna Grainer, all of Little Falls. Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Saturday morning at 10:00. Davis, 55 Jeanette Street, Plymouth died shortly before noon today in the Mercy Hospital, where she was admitted last night. Born in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Mary A. Sprake. Her husband, William R. Davis, died in 1941. Mrs. Davis was a member of the First Presbyterian Chuch, Plymouth and the Class In The Corner of the Sunday School of the church. She also belonged to Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 Ladies Auxilliary; Castner Ettes Club of Larksville and was also active in the Plymouth Republican Women's Club. She was employed at the Luzerne County Courthouse for many years, retiring two years ago. Surviving are a son, William R., at home, two grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Maude Gibbon, at home, Mrs. Stella Search, Wilkes-Barre; numerous nieces and nephews. Pamela was born November 4, 1946, in Syracuse, the daughter of Kenneth and Shirley Tuttle Hicks. She attended Pulaski Schools. Pamela married David Crawford September 16, 1967. She was a member of Pulaski Wesleyan Church and Robert Edwards Post #358 American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving: her husband, David L.; one son, Nathan of Richland; one daughter Amy (Brian) Neill of Liverpool; two brothers, Randall Hicks of Georgia and Robert Hicks of Pulaski; two sisters, Brenda Worful of Bridgeport and Shari Thurston of Orwell; and one granddaughter, Kendra Neill. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Pulaski Wesleyan Church, with burial in Daysville Cemetery, Pulaski. 15908 Newspaper Obituary - October 28, 1926 Sandy Creek News - Ethel S. Orton - Ethel S. Orton, one of the oldest residents of the town of Richland, died Monday evening, October 11, 1926, at the home of his niece, Mrs. Ora Harmon, after a few weeks' illness. Mr. Orton was born at Kasoag, October 12, 1848, and for 70 years had resided on the farm in Meacham District which he left only a few weeks ago when failing health made a change of home necessary. Fifty six years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Kilburn, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kilburn of Sandy Creek, who preceded him in death by five months. Mr. Orton is the last of a large family. His funeral was held from the Harmon home in Delano street, Pulaski, on the Wednesday following his death. Rev. E. H. Scott of the Pulaski Methodist Church officiated. Burial was made in Woodlawn cemetery, Sandy Creek.

15920 Newspaper Obituary - October 30, 1918 - Death Of Elnora Mason - Died at her home, at South Albion, Thursday, Oct. 24, 1918, Mrs. Elnora Mqason, aged 35 years, 2 months and 1 day. Elnora Mason was born in the town of Albion, Aug. 23, 1883 and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Richardson. Mrs Mason was taken ill with influenza about ten days ago after a few days pneumonia developed which resulted in her death, about five o'clock Thursday morning. Mr. Mason and children are very illl with influenza and much sympathy is felt for him and the seven children the oldest 15 years and the youngest 2 years old. Mrs. Mason is survived by her husband Geo. Mason and seven children, Emma, Fern, Mable, Charlie, Earl, Cora and Freda, also by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Richardson and six sisters, Mrs. Avery Towsley, of Florence; Mrs. Frank Mason, of Dugway; Mrs Howard Hubbard of Parish; Misses Lida, Laura and Luella Richardson of Albion and three brothers, Hubbard of Oneida; Earl and Leon of this place; as well as a number of other relatives. Spencer, 62, a native of Oswego county, who came to Pulaski a year or so ago, died Oct. 26, at his home in Furnace street, following a short illness. He was born in the town of Hastings, May 5, 1857, and when about nine years old went to the town of Albion, where he had for many years prior to coming to Pulaski been engaged in farming. He was well and favorably known throughout the eastern section of Oswego county. Surviving besids the widow are a son and daughter, Charles Spencer and Mrs. William Montondo, both of Albion. The Rev. He was employed by the New York Central for 27 years and always lived in this vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. Coon celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on September 2. Kinney, of 137 Third Avenue, Kingston, veteran Wilkes-Barre, Publishing Company printer, died last night at 11:15 in Mercy Hospital where he was admitted yesterday afternoon suffering a heart attack. Mr. Kinney, who worked on Times-Leader, The Evening News force in the company's composing room, was stricken ill while at work about 10 days ago and had remained at his home until he was taken to the hospital. A native of Miners Mills and a son of the late James and Anna Fleming Kinney, Mr. Kinney resided in Wymoning Vally all his life. Mr. Kinney had been associated with Newspaper work since the early 1920's. Prior to becoming a printer he worked in the Wilkes-Barre Record business office. About 1922 he began his apprenticeship in the Record composing room and upon becoming a journeyman printer in 1928, started to work in the Times-Leader compoising room. An active member of Wilkes-Barre Typographical Union 187, he served as chapel chairman at the Times-Leader and later in the Wilkes-Barre Publishing Company composing room for a total of 10 years. He was also a delegate to the ITU convention in Louisville in 1937 and had served as a member of the scale committee of Local 187 at various times. He was a member of St. Ignatius Church and its Holy Name Society. 15928 Newspaper Obituary - October 4, 1944 Sandy Creek News - Mrs. Phila B. Look - Mrs. Phila Jeanette Barlow Look, a former resident of this vicinity, died last week at Niagara Falls after a brief illness. She was born November 30, 1866 in the town of Richland. She was married to Eugene Look in 1891 and spent most of her life in Richland and near there until about 12 years ago when she went to make her home with her son, Ernest Look, at Niagara Falls. Six children were added to this union, two who preceded her in death, while surviving are three sons, Ernest of Niagara Falls; Clarance of Wolcott and Albert of Lacona; one daughter, Edna Widrig of Parish; 18 grandchildren, three stepchildren, Lewis of Rome; Celia Miller of Richland, and Jerry of Richland; 13 step-grandchildren with 38 great-grandchildren. Her later life was spent with her son, Ernest, and it was at his home in Niagara Falls that she was taken ill. She was hurried to the hospital where she lived only half an hour. The body was brought to the home of one of her sons, Albert Look, of Lacona. On Sunday, October 1, 1944, the burial service was held with prayer at Albert Look's and services at the Wesleyan Methodist church in Sandy Creek, with Rev. Herbert Moore officiating and the pastor Rev. J. Harold Douglass, assisting. Rev. and Mrs. Douglass sang two numbers, "Transformed" and "Home Sweet Home." 15932 Newspaper Obituary - October 4, 2010 Burlington Free Press - MADELINE MAE SILVA BURLINGTON/ SWANTON - Madeline Mae Silva, 89, passed away peacefully on Sept. 30, 2010 in Starr Farm Nursing Center. Madeline was born at home in St. Albans on Sept. 16, 1921, the daughter of Edward and Alice (Paquette) Bouchard. With her two sisters and ten brothers, Madeline grew up on the family farm in Swanton and attended St. Anne's Academy. Madeline completed her nursing degree at the Tewksbury Hospital School of Nursing in Massachusetts. She enjoyed a long career in nursing at the Veteran's Hospital in White River Junction, at Windsor Hospital and at Kerbs Memorial Hospital in St. Albans, earning numerous awards for outstanding nursing and patient service. Throughout her retirement, Madeline frequently remarked that she wished she were able to return to nursing. Madeline and her husband, Paul, raised their family in Windsor and later relocated to Swanton. Madeline delighted in being surrounded by family and hosting large gatherings. She loved people and was an incredibly kind and gentle person. Even through declining health Madeline always treated others with grace and consideration. Madeline was predeceased by her husband Paul; her son Anthony; and her brothers Isadore, Abraham, Arnold and Roger Bouchard. Madeline is survived by four of her children, Joan Olson of Franklin, Roger and Lynne Silva of Burlington, Theresa and David Scott of Barnet, and Madeline and Robert Dayer of Baudette, Minn. She leaves thirteen grandchildren, Lance, Anthony, Adria, Sara, Jared, Timothy, Daniel, Kati, Lindsey, Ian, Todd, William and Sara; and nine greatgrandchildren, Joshua, Anna, Eric, Dylan, Austin, William, Elian, Harper, and Jacob. She is survived by two sisters, Delma Bouchard and Tina Bouchard; by brothers Lawrence, Clayton, Clifford, Francis, Raymond and Norman Bouchard; and by a great extended family. Madeline leaves her dear friends Theresa Nutter, Lynda Richards and Barbara Hamblett. The family would like to thank all the special people who cared for Madeline with such kindness and compassion, including the staff of the Ethan Allen Residence, the Starr Farm Nursing Center and the VNA Hospice program and also Dr. John Wright and Rosemary Dale, NP. At Madeline's last family gathering, her recent 89th birthday party, she truly enjoyed and deeply appreciated the musical gift shared by the Noyana singers. 15940 Newspaper Obituary - October 7, 1937 - Clarence J. Widrig - Services for Clarence J. Widrig were held Tuesday afternoon at his late home, Rev. W. S. Dobbie officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery. Sandy Creek High School was closed during the afternoon in tribute to Mr. Widrig who was a member of the board of education. Mr. Widrig underwent a major operation at Mercy Hospital in Watertown about five weeks ago and was at first believed to be making a satisfactory recovery. Complications followed, which resulted in his death Saturday noon October 2, 1937. He was born in Sandy Creek October 24, 1884, son of the late Gilbert C. Widrig and Mrs. Carrie Zufelt Widrig of this village. He attended Sandy Creek high school and for several years was in the grocery business here. From 1907 to 1918 he was a partner in the Bettinger and Widrig market and grocery. For about 12 years he had been central and northern New York sales representative for the Wilbur Feed company of Jamestown. August 25, 1906 Mr. Widrig married Miss Edna Sprague, only daughter of Abner and Allie Bettinger Sprague of Sandy Creek. Her death occurred December 10, 1918. October 12, 1922 he married Miss Ruby Cady of Adams Center, who was then teaching in Watertown. Mr. Widrig was a communicant of the Sandy Creek Congregational church, a past mastor of Sandy Creek lodge No. 364 F&AM, and trustee of the lodge. He was a member of the Board of Education here. He owned to farms in the western part of the town and took an active interest in their management and welfare. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ruby Widrig; on son, James, 9; his mother, Mrs. Carrie Widrig, and a sister, Mrs. Ralph W. Shaul, of Sandy Creek. Another son Robert, died when a baby.

A parishioner of St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Phoenix, serving on the Altar Rosary Society; and a member of the Phoenix Sr. Citizens group. Predeceased by her husband, Stanley P. Narewski on January 31, 1992; her sister, Adelia E. Milligan on November 9, 2004; her brothers, Allen Richardson and Henry Allen. Surviving are her sons, Allen P. Newspaper Obituary - Sun, Oct 8, 1893 Sunday News - Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania - Death of Hugh Kennedy - Hugh Kennedy, one of Plymouth's well known young men, died at the home of his brother on River street yesterday after an illness of almost one year of heart trouble. Mr. Kennedy had contracted a cold some four years ago which bothered him on and off until last December when he was taken down sick and was never able to leave his bed. Deceased was a young, powerful man and well respected in Plymouth. He was 23 years old, stood 6 feet 3 inches in his stockings and weighed 225 pounds. For the past eigh months he had the best of medical aid, but despite this, he declined and passed away. The funeral will take place onday.

The remains were taken to St. Vincent's Church where a requiem high mass was celebrated by Rev. P. C. Winters. From here they were conveyed to Welsh Hill Cemetery, their final resing place.
