Jessie A Sage was the daughter of John W Sage and Mary Eveline Coon.
She lived all of her life in Sandy Creek. She married Fayette M Salisbury about 1876.
They had one daughter: Anna B 1886

MRS. JESSIE SALISBURY

As the migratory birds are impelled by an instinct of their nature to exchange a land of gloom and chill for a clime of sunshine and warmth, so the Christian pilgrim in the hour of death, feels the impulse of the life beyond, and his soul is filled with sweet solicitation for that better world, where night and winter and shadows are unknown. Our friend Mrs. Jessie Salisbury spread her wings and took her flight to the land of eternal summer and calm. She is not lost, but gone before. Her pain has ceased, her trials have ended, the race has been finished, and she has reached the gladsome home prepared for there.
The departed was born in the town of Sandy Creek May 14, 1856, being the daughter of John and Mary (Coon) Sage. She was married to the late Fayette M. Salisbury Nov. 28, 1876. One child blessed their union, Mrs. M.D. Herriman, who tenderly cared for her mother during her painful illness, caused by cancer. Two sisters, Mrs. Ella Noyes, Sandy Creek and Mrs. David Clark, Orwell, and one brother, Orren Sage, Sandy Creek, survive her. She passed away at the midnight hour of Feb. 3, but like the wise virgins, her lamp was trimmed and burning, when the bridegroom came.
Her obsequies were held at the home of M.D. Harriman, Saturday afternoon, Feb. 6. Her pastor, Rev. T.T. Davies, officiating. Interment in Woodlawn cemetery. The floral tributes and the tears shed, evidenced the high regard in which she was held by those who know her. The deceased was a member of the W.R.C.
Mrs. Salisbury had lived a life of great sweetness and peace. Her devotion to Christ was manifested not in words, but in practical Christian living. She exerted a silent influence for good, by a serene, pure life that was far reaching. She made home beautiful by living a beautiful life. When the end came, she entertained no fear of death, because the life that death cannot crush throbbed in her heart.
"One more in Heaven-
Another thought to brighten cloudy days,
- Another theme for thankfulness and praise,
Another link on high our souls to raise to home and Heaven.

The deceased was born in Bridport, Vermont, March 31st, 1823. In 1867, she, with her husband, transferred her church relations to the Congregational church in Pulaski. 19674 Sarah Antoinette “Nettie” Dale Sperling - January 18, 1869 - January 21, 1923. Daughter of William and Orinda Allen Dale. Wife of George Lewis Sperling.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, January 31, 1923 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Nettie Dale Sperling - The sudden death of Mrs. Nettie Dale Sperling, wife of Mr. George L. Sperling, of Orwell, which occurred Sunday afternoon, January 21, while she was sitting in her home reading, is one of the very shocking events that come to disturb our order of life. Such a death is inexplainable [sic] and extremely sad, but it not infrequently comes. Mrs. Sperling had been in her usual health and was about her home duties every day. At Christmas time Mr. and Mrs. Sperling were at Littleton, Massachusetts, to visit their daughter, Mrs. Chester A. Wheeler, for the first time since her beginning her homemaking after her marriage in August. It is, indeed, a consolation to the father and daughter that this visit was made. Soon after the close of the Civil War, William Dale, who served in Company C, 186th Regiment, came to the farm, just over the line which separates the town of Albion from the town of Orwell, bringing with him his bride, Orinda Allen, whom he married in Oneida. The farm where they began their life's work was formerly the Wakefield farm, it was adjoining the little homestead of the editor’s father, thus the family of Dales was close neighbors and friends. On January 18, 1869 a daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Dale, they named her Nettie and she grew to womanhood on the homestead, becoming the wife of George L. Sperling over thirty years ago. To them were born two daughters, Dorothy and Myrtis. Myrtis was taken from the home by the severest of accidents, and electric shock, while in the hayfield with her father and sister. Mrs. Sperling’s father died in 1906 and her mother in 1909. No one knew Mrs. Sperling but to love her for she had a sweet disposition and a temperament that commanded the love and esteem of all who came into the circle of her friendship and acquaintance. Her death takes from the home a devoted wife and mother and the community at a loyal and worthy citizen. The day of her funeral was one of the worst of the winter which made it impossible for many who desired to attend to get there. Rev. T. T. Davies, of Sandy Creek, conducted the service and spoke words of greatest comfort his tongue could command.

19693 Sarah Louise Donovan Tanner - August 8, 1861 - July 23, 1922. Daughter of John and Mary Valliere Donovan. Wife of Alvin T. Tanner.

Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, August 2, 1922 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - It is with great regret that we are obliged to write this memorial for one whose place will not be easily filled. There was a feeling of sadness in Richland and vicinity when it was said of Sarah Donovan Tanner, that she has closed this life, July 23, at the Ideal Rest Hospital, following an operation for a serious internal ailment. Sarah Donovan, daughter of John and Mary Valliere Donovan was born in Canada sixty years ago, August 8. She came to New Centerville when a small child where she spent her early life. She was united in marriage with Alvin Tanner and has lived at Richland for many years. Mrs. Tanner was a woman of great love of her home and friends. She was always trying to put into practice the "Golden Rule." Her life was given up to her home and her duties in the community where she lived. She won a place of high honor in her devotion to her aged mother, the late Mary Valliere Donovan, whose days were made as happy as the devotion Mrs. Tanner could give was possible to make them. She was interested in good work and loved to serve wherever she could be of service. She was a devoted Christian and for some time took a great interest in and was the head of New Centerville Sunday School. She was interested in and concerned about the happiness of others to such extent that she used her best endeavor to scatter sunshine and comfort. Her last visit to the Democrat office was for the purpose of handing the editor a bouquet of roses which she had picked from her own yard. Her funeral was largely attended Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church at Richland; Rev. C. A. Robinson, pastor of the Richland Methodist church and Rev. Walter Clement, of Taberg Methodist church, conducting the same. A profusion of flowers were brought as a testimony of love and esteem from the great circle of friends who regret her death. She was laid at rest in Richland cemetery. The truest thing we can say of the departed is, "She hath done what she could." She made good use of all she had to work with and while her accomplishments may not be as conspicuous as the accomplishments of many others, she surely has won the home and rest, beyond the grave, which she looked forward to as the goal of her life's journey. Mrs. Tanner is survived by her husband, two sons, Carl, of Watertown and Norman, of Richland; three sisters, Anna Sage, of Brooklyn; Mary Albertine Valliere, of New York; Mrs. Nellie Howe, of Texas and Mrs. Charles Kent, of Sandy Creek. Friends and relatives from Taberg, Camden, Williamstown, Oswego, Watertown, Altmar, Sandy Creek and Pulaski attended the funeral.
