2253 Carroll Richard Wade passed away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 84, while bravely fighting cancer. He was born on August 23, 1939, in Putney, Vermont, to Charles and Marjorie Brooks Wade. In 1955, he moved to Pulaski, where he spent the early part of his life. Carroll was a charming and social young man who loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles and working with his hands. It was during this time that he met Karyl Bettinger (Moyer), who he later married on October 15, 1960. Together, they had four children: Lisa Hellenberg (Kurt), Michael Wade, Eric Wade (Valerie), and Kitryn Ellis (David). Even though they divorced, they were additionally blessed with eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Carroll also had three sisters, five brothers, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and several close friends, all of whom he loved dearly.

Carroll was known for his great sense of humor and storytelling, which he accompanied with a warm smile and a contagious laugh. He enjoyed hunting, drawing, painting, birdwatching, and carpentry. He loved spending time with people over coffee or breakfast and Christmas was his favorite time of the year. He looked like Santa Claus, and often dressed up for the occasion. He enjoyed seeing the joy on the faces of children (and adults) when they saw him in public, and assumed he was the real deal!

Carroll was a member of Boilermakers Local 175 and was a Freemason. He worked as a Research Cottrell Construction Project Manager, building clean-air precipitators in foreign countries to help companies meet global emission regulations. He was fortunate to have traveled and lived in many countries, such as Indonesia, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada, along with many states throughout the U.S. He was quick to make friends and appreciated the different languages and customs of the people with whom he lived and worked. Carroll will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Some of Carroll's immediate family is out of state or abroad, so a private celebration of life will be held in the future, to be determined. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all who supported him throughout his illness, helping him with medical appointments, home visits, meals, errands, repairs, or simply through phone calls and letters. Your immeasurable kindness and friendship will always be remembered.

Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, December 24, 1902 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Died at North Mexico, Catherine Dyke, December 15, 1902, aged 84 years.
Newspaper Obituary - (date unknown) Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Catherine LeBart was born at Prospect, Oneida County, October 1818, living there until 1834, when she was united in marriage to Sardius Dyke of Litchfield, Herkimer County, living there one year, then starting out with an ox team they came to Oswego County, the country being a wild wilderness, having trees marked to show the road. They settled on what is known as the Frank Bulen farm, enduring all the privations of an early settlers life. They managed to clear up and sow to winter wheat ten acres of land. They then traded places with David Bulen, which is now the home of Sylvester Dyke. They lived there many years, raising their family, and by diligent and faithful service they managed to clear up and purchase a number of acres of land, 240. They then purchased a small place living there until he died in 1889, in his 77th year. His wife has since resided with her children, enjoying very good health until about nine weeks before her death. She was sick three weeks at the home of her son Almon, in Texas and knowing that her life was nearly over, wanted to be taken to the home of her son Sylvester, who resides on the old homestead. She was tenderly cared for, and at the end of six weeks passed away. She was a devoted wife and a true and loving mother. She leaves to mourn her loss four children, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Miller of New Haven, interment at Sand Hill. Nearer to the hand of Him, Who, with gentle guiding Leads through all life's weary ways, Into peace abiding.

2299 Celia Maria Dewey Seamans - July 9, 1836 - March 14, 1918. Plot AA-42. Daughter of Jason and Julia West Dewey. Wife of George Wescott Seamans.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 20, 1918 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Celia Dewey Seamans - Celia Dewey Seamans, daughter of Jason and Julia West Dewey, was born in Orwell, July 9, 1836. Her father died when she was but two years of age and her mother later married Ira West. Her early life was spent in the town of her nativity. When fifteen years of age she began teaching district school and the Pekin and Potter schools were among those where she taught. February 22, 1855. she was united in marriage with George Westcott Seamans and they first made their home in the town of Williamstown. Later they lived in Orwell and from there went to Adams and lived in that village a few years moving to the northern part of Albion about 1860. In 1864 Mr. Seamans enlisted in the United States Army and in the fall of that year went South, leaving his wife with the care of the home and three small children, the youngest but three months old. Through the long and anxious winter of '64-5 she kept her little ones about her and "kept the home fire burning," always sure that her husband would come back to her and the little ones, which he did, in the spring of '65. They lived in Albion until the winter of 1882 when they moved to this village where she has since resided. Mr. Seamans died October 11, 1912. The latch-string of Mrs. Seamans' home always hung on the outside of the door and no one need pass by for fear they would not find her ready to receive them and give a share of the comforts of her home to them. In the school of the diversity and limited home comforts she fought the good fight of the true wife and mother. Her domestic tact made a little go a long way, many times, and many a dark hour of life passed without despair, because she was able to make small resources meet the demands of the hour. Soon after coming to Pulaski she united with the Methodist church and was a regular attendant on the services as long as health would permit. She was a charter member of J. B. Butler Women's Relief Corps and served that organization as President, Chaplain and also served in other offices. She was also a member of Pulaski chapter, O.E.S. Mrs. Seamans had been in poor health for some months past but having a persistence which never knows defeat, until the last ditch has been crossed, she did not give up and acknowledge defeat until last Friday, when her poor tired body had been so robbed of its vitality she was obliged to give up and from that she rapidly declined and on Sunday morning she sank into unconsciousness and lingered in that state until Thursday morning when the death angel came and took her to that Home for which she longed and to the loved ones whom she hoped to find awaiting her on the other shore. Five children were given her. One son, Ernest, died in infancy. She is survived by two sons and two daughters. Clayton E., Byron G., Mrs. Minnie Seamans Peck and Mrs. M. Clarritta Seamans Parker, of Pulaski; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One brother, William West, of Sandy Creek. Her funeral was held from the home at two o'clock, Saturday, Rev. Charles T. Holcombe, pastor of the Pulaski Methodist Church, assisted by Rev. T. T. Davies conducting the service. Friends from out of town attending were Mrs. William West, Mrs. Gilson Wart, Rev. and Mrs. T. T. Davies, of Sandy Creek; Mr. E.
Keyes, of Mexico; Mrs. O. H. Bentley, of Pineville and Mrs. H. D. Barber, of New Centerville. J. B. Butler W.R.C. members were present in a body.
