Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, February 16, 1949 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Well Known Visitor And Relative Of Residents Here, Dies In Cortland - Funeral services for Miss Edith Tollerton, cousin of the late L. D. Tollerton and George Tollerton, who died last Friday night at her home in Cortland, were held Monday at two o'clock in that city, Chaplain Perry O. Wilcox, officiating. Burial will be made in Daysville cemetery in the spring. Miss Tollerton was born April 17, 1881 at Daysville, daughter of James H. and Lida Calkins Tollerton. She resided in Cortland for about 30 years. Miss Tollerton was a graduate of Pulaski High school, Oswego Normal school, and Columbia university. She taught for many years at Cortland as well as Camden, Antwerp, Cooperstown, Glen Cove and Pulaski. | 2767 | Class of 1902 PACS Mrs. G. Andrews Dies in Syracuse Mrs. May Woods Andrews, native of Pulaski and wife of Gregory G. Andrews, vice principal of Vocational High school, died at her home in 103 Robinean Rd., Syracuse, Friday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted from the Elmer E. Price funeral home in Syracuse Monday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Frank B. McDuffee, pastor of Plymouth Congregational church. Interment was made in Pulaski cemetery. Surviving besides her husband, are a daughter, Miss Jane Andrews, dietitian at the Presbyterian hospital in New York city, a nephew Edwin W. Warner, and grand nephew, Warren Warner, both of Pulaski. She was the sister of the late Mrs. Helen Woods Warner, wife of Edwin R. Warner, of this village. Mrs. Andrews was born in Pulaski and graduated from Pulaski high school in 1902, and from Vassar college in 1907. She taught in the local school until her marriage to Mr. Andrews in Aug. 7, 1912, who was then principal here. She was a member of the Congregational church in Pulaski until she transferred her membership to the Plymouth Congregational church in Syracuse, and was a member of the Ontario chapter, D.A.R. in Pulaski. She had resided in Syracuse for the past 35 years and was a member of the Vassar club. Mr. and Mrs. Andrews had purchased the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones in Park St. and planned to move here soon. Mr. Andrews expects to take up his residence here in the near future. Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, June 24, 1931 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Carlton Moore Dies in New York - Word of the passing of Carlton C. Moore, at his home, 1066 Union Street, Brooklyn, reaches his friends in Pulaski and vicinity causing a distinct shock. Mr. Moore died Sunday afternoon after an illness of nearly a year. Carl, as his friends in this vicinity knew him, was born in Worth, Jefferson county, August 2, 1885, son of the late Fred M. Moore and Mary E. Moore, of Richland, the latter surviving him. He came to Richland with his parents when an infant, where he grew up, getting his early education there and at Pulaski Academy, from which he graduated with the class of 1902. Later he completed the commercial courses in Albany Business College and New York University with the class of 1910. He entered the employ of the H. W. Everett Company, chemical brokers, 100 Williams street, Brooklyn, as a clerk, working his way to the top, becoming principal owner of the firm now known as the H. W. Everett Corporation. Twenty years ago Mr. Moore was united in marriage with Miss Mary Dickenson of Atlanta, Georgia, who with one daughter, Mary Frances, and his mother of Richland survive him. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity, an active member of the alumni association of New York University and an officer of the Hempstead Country Club of Hempstead, Long Island. The remains will be brought to Richland for funeral services at the home of his mother this morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. Harold Barnard, pastor of the Richland Methodist church will officiate.
