Jefferson St., died Monday at Andrew Michaud Nursing Home, Fulton. Mrs. Hastings was a lifelong resident of Pulaski. She taught for a year at Maple View School and was tax collector for Pulaski School for four years. She was a member of Pulaski Congregational Church, Women's Pilgrim Guild and Pulaski Historical Society. Born Feb. 15, 1906, in Pulaski, the youngest of six children of Dexter and Elizabeth Lane Lilley, she graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1925 and Pulaski Teachers Training Class in 1926. She married Perry W. Hastings on Sept. 10, 1927, at Syracuse. Surviving besides her husband are a son, David L., Pulaski; two daughters, Marilyn H. Lindenthal, Franklin, Mass., and Eleanor Ackermann, Schenectady, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Pulaski Cemetery with the Rev. James Tschudy officiating. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, May 29, 1969 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Elmer Riley Dies Suddenly - Elmer Darrell Riley of Richland, died May 27 at the House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown after a short illness. He was 63 years old. Born March 18 at Fairfield, Virginia he was married in 1933 to the former Frances Carr. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Darrell of Syracuse and Keith of Richland; a daughter, Sharon of Richland; wife sisters, Mrs. Archie (Ruby) Horton of Blackstone, Virginia, Mrs. Harold (Anstress) Pennock of Pulaski, Mrs. Raymond (Dorothy) Nutting of Syracuse, Mrs. Harold (Helen) Wing of Richland; and Mrs. Rena Cobb of Lacona; and nephews and nieces. Mr. Riley was a 1929 graduate of Clarkson College of Technology where he earned a degree as a civil engineer. He had worked for the State of New York for the past 40 years, and at the time of his death was state engineer at the site of the demolition of buildings in Watertown.
