Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 25, at 2 p.m. at The Weedsport First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Debra Thomas officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Old Brutus Historical Society, 8943 N. Seneca St., P. O. Box 516, Weedsport, NY 13166; or The Weedsport First Presbyterian Church, 8871 S. Seneca St., P. O. Box 506, Weedsport, NY 13166. Fred was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and was the son of Karl D. and Bessie Grinnells Kinney. He grew up the Pulaski, N. Y., area and graduated from Pulaski Academy. Upon returning from military duty with the U. Army during World War he opened Kinney Funeral Home, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 1981. Fred also belonged many civic organizations. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nellie A. Goodsell Kinney; one son, David A. Kinney of Weedsport; and one daughter, Deborah J. (Roy A.) | 3574 | Class of 1938 PACS Robert E. Wart, 92, a resident of Pulaski, for the past 75 years, passed away Saturday. Robert was born December 6, 1920, in Syracuse. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1938, and he attended Syracuse University. Robert served in the United States Navy during WWII, from 1943 until 1945, as a water tender second class. He married Frances Olmstead on June 3, 1950; she passed away May 17, 2004. Robert was employed by Conrail as an engineer for 37 years, retiring in 1982. He also owned and operated R.E. Wart Insurance Agency for many years. Robert was a member of the Pulaski Park United Methodist Church, Robert Edwards Post #358 American Legion and Masonic Lodge #157 in Pulaski, Shrine Media Temple Society, Mad River Club, Pulaski Odd Fellows, Pulaski Historical Society and Half Shire Historical Society. He was also a member of the Pulaski Water Board for 40 years. Surviving: one son, Robert J. (Martha H.) Wart of Barrington, RI; two daughters, Anne F. Wart of Pulaski and Joan Wart Olmstead and her husband Timothy P. Whitehouse of Poolesville, MD; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with a spring burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Zufelt and Pauline Cook Zufelt. She graduated from Pulaski Academy in 1938. She married Ernest R. Stub, of Bogo, Denmark, at the Methodist Church in Pulaski, NY on April 9, 1939. They lived on a farm in Sandy Creek, NY for 60 years. Mr. Stub passed away in March of 2003. Lois enjoyed gardening and bingo. Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Marcia and Dale Huffstater, Pulaski, NY, Josie and Steve Nemier, Sandy Creek, NY, and Cindy and Maynard Gillard, Mannsville, NY; two sisters, Doris Loomis, Saranac Lake, NY, and Louise Ware, Key West, FL; two brothers, Howard Zufelt, Camillus, NY and Edison Zufelt, Pulaski, NY; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Morenus, 87, Dodge City, Kan., formerly of Pulaski, died Feb. 16 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home, Dodge City. Mr. Morenus was a press photographer for the Dodge City Daily Globe for many years. Born Dec. 22, 1916, in Pulaski, son of Orson and Nellie Mahaffy Morenus, he graduated from Pulaski Academy and served in the Army during World War II, serving in the Pacific theater with the signal corps and later with the Army Air Forces. He married Lillian M. Zurbucken on Feb. 2, 1943, in Dodge City. She died Aug. 8, 1985. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Dodge City, and the Dodge City Noon Lions Club, and enjoyed fishing, golf, painting and drinking coffee. Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Donna and Gary Murphy, Independence, Kan., two granddaughters and five great- granddaughters. A private memorial service will be at a later date. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1938. Married April 16, 1939 in Richland to Walter S. Cobb. She was a resident of Lacona for 77 years. She was employed by First National Bank of Lacona and Merchants Bank, retiring as assistant manager after 30 years of service. She was a former member of Rebecca's, member of the Coteri Club, Sandy Creek Baptist Church for many years before joining the Pulaski Baptist Church. Survived by her husband of 77 years, Walter; two daughters, Nancy (Randy) Reed of Adams Center and Cheryl (Allen) Stagi of Lacona; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters. Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Monday at Pulaski Baptist Church. Burial in Richland Cemetery. She married Albert R. Johnson on Sept. 6, 1941, at her parents' home in Pulaski. Surviving besides her husband are a son and his wife, Albert R. II and Debbie, Pulaski; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jean Nash Mathison and Chris Mathison, Phoenix, Ariz., Carol and Robert Dickson, Alden, and Gail Johnson, Pulaski; two sisters, Jean B. Jones, Poland, Ohio, and Dorothy B. Krespan, Wilmington, Del.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A sister, Winifred B. Evans, died in 2003.
