Arlene J. Branch, age 87, of 23 Prescott Place, Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.

Born in Pulaski, NY on June 25, 1929, she was the daughter of Frank and Clair E. (Kelsey) LeBeau.

Arlene attended and graduated from High School in Pulaski, NY. She went on to receive her bachelors of education degree at Cornell University and later received her master’s degree from Xavier University. Arlene had been employed as a dietician for the New York State Department of Corrections for many years until she retired at the age of 83 years old in 2011. She loved doing crossword puzzles, reading and was a member of St. Bernard’s Church.

She is survived by one daughter Jenda Cotton of Saranac Lake, two sons John (Minzheng) Branch of Tennessee and Jamie (Mare Schelz) Branch of Bend, OR, one sister Glenda Clark of Georgia, two brothers Donald (Kathy) LeBeau of Pulaski and James LeBeau of Pulaski, 9 grandchildren Shaun Cotton, Jessica (Ged) LaFever, Kris Cotton and Jasmine Landry all of Saranac Lake, Jonah Schelz-Branch and Hayden Schelz Branch of Bend, OR, PeeJay and Aaron Branch of St. Louis Missouri and Avilena Branch of the Philippines, 8 great grandchildren Ashley Yelle, Mary Yelle, Dakota LaFever, Heaven LaFever, Valerie LaFever, Revan Larriaga, Oliver Larriaga and Harper Landry all of Saranac Lake, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters Helen Parker and Joyce Thompson, one brother Richard LeBeau and one Great Granddaughter Gillian Yelle.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family.

Friends wishing to remember Arlene J. Branch may make memorial contributions to the Tri-Lakes Humane Society in care of the funeral home.

Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, March 28, 2000 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - June E. Delong, 70, County Route 41, a native of Richland, died Sunday at her home. Bom May 12, 1929, in Richland, daughter of Ivan and Catherine Waterbury Stacy, she was a 1946 graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central School. She married John W. Delong on April 1, 1950, in the Mexico Methodist parsonage with the Rev. Merle O. Brown officiating. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm on County Route 41 for 50 years. Mrs. Delong was a member of First United Methodist Church. Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Jonita E. Greenhouse and Nancy E. Delong, both of Mexico, and Bonnie L. Hazard, Carthage; two sons, Roger J. and David V., both of Mexico; a sister, Almina Erard, Minoa, and six grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Femwood. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mary Julia Carson, 87, formerly of 100 Rogers Road, Black River, passed November 30, 2015 at the home of her nephew and his wife, William and Colleen Bartram.

A graveside service will take place at the Sanford Corners Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are with the Bruce Funeral Home, Black River.

She was born on August 27, 1928 in West Virginia, daughter of Andrew and Mary (Ockowska) Pawlus. She moved to Pulaski at an early age and graduated from the Pulaski High School.

She married Stewart Noel Carson in 1950. Mr. Carson worked 39 years for the NY Telephone Co., he passed October 28, 2002.

Mrs. Carson was a homemaker. She and her husband enjoyed wintering in Zephyrhills, FL for several years. She enjoyed gardening and golfing and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Among her survivors are a daughter, Carolyn Stowe; two grandsons; Richard and Jason Stowe; several nieces and nephews.

PRINCETON _ Winifred Bentley Evans, 74, passed away on Sunday.

Born in Pulaski NY., she attended William Smith College in 1947 where she met Thomas L. Evans, who attended Hobart College. They married on August 19, 1950 and had four children.

She later continued her education through the Mary K. Bunting Program, a continuing education program for mature women at Douglass College. In 1971, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and began her teaching career.

She taught mathematics from 1972 to 1981 at Saint Joseph's Preparatory Academy in Kingston, and at The Lawrenceville School from 1981 until she retired from teaching in 1993. She was active in All Saints' Episcopal Church, and enjoyed tennis, knitting, reading, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Thomas L. Evans, her four children, Mark, Tom, Janine, and Brenda, and her twelve grandchildren. She is also survived by her three sisters, Janet Johnson, Jean Jones, and Dorothy Krespan.

She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Morgan, Meredyth, and Sam from the Mark and Kim Evans family; Ben and Tommy from the Tom and Margaret Evans family; Jeremy, Danny, and Nate from the Janine and Michael Bernick family; and Sarah, Laura Ali, and Andy from the Brenda and Andy Armstrong Family.

Winifred (Winnie) was a very kind, generous, and loving soul who yearned for peace on earth and continued to touch everyone in her life, even through her final days. She felt strongly that people need to be tolerant and accepting towards their fellow persons and to treat one another with respect and dignity. We will miss her very much.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m on Saturday, April 12 at All Saints' Episcopal Church, at 16 All Saints' Road in Princeton, NJ.

Donations in Winifreds' memory can be made to the Mary I. Bunting Program, care of Ms. Susan Sturgill, The Associate Alumnae of Douglass College, 181 Ryders Lane, New Brunswick, N.J. 08901.

Alva G. Dunbar, 60, of 432 W. Elm St. died Wednesday at Oneida City Hospital shortly after admission.

Born in Syracuse, he resided in Oneida for 30 years after living in Pulaski.

He graduated from Pulaski High School and attended Mohawk Valley Technology Institute. Mr. Dunbar was employed with Carrier Corp. for 33 years as an inspector until he retired in 1987.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn; two sons, Garr of Oneida and Dennis of Clay; two daughters, Karen DeFrancisci of Long Island and Margaret Kuersteiner of Oneida; and six grandchildren.

Services will be private Friday at Fiore Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Faulkner officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Oneida.

No calling hours are scheduled.

Robert Keith Coville, of Pulaski, NY, formerly of Westwood and Township of Washington, NJ died on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Bob was born on April Fool’s Day, 1928 in Pulaski, NY, the son of Hiram and Leona Coville who are both deceased, along with an older brother, Wallace. He graduated from Pulaski Academy Central School. He served in the Merchant Marines the latter part of WWII, after that he worked for Western Electric for 13 years while living in Bayonne, NJ. While in Bayonne, he become president of the Holy Name Society, was an officer in the Knights of Columbus, and also started a Boy Scout troop. In 1964, he went into the dry cleaning business in Washington Township and Westwood where he owned and operated two stores. He later moved to Florida and back, and lived in Westwood for nine years. While in the Township, he joined the volunteer fire department where he was very active. He later moved to Liverpool, NY outside of Syracuse where he was working as a security guard at P&C.

He is survived by cousins in Pulaski, NY.

Herbert J. Webb, 83, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at New Hanover Medical Center. He was born Feb. 10, 1929 in Fernwood, NY to the late Herbert and Margarita Webb.

Herb is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Mary; brothers, Wesley, Bill, and Richard; children, George, Suzanne, Karen, Carolee, and Debbie; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Resurrection with Rev. Steve Carlson will be held at St. Marks Catholic Church on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Herb's name to Wilmington East Rotary, c/o Fred Gillette, PO Box 12766, Wilmington, NC 28405. Herb believed in service above self and had 44 years of perfect attendance at Rotary all over the world.

Erma L. Koenig, 74, of Mexico, NY, died Saturday. She was born in Richland, NY, and graduated from Pulaski High School. She was employed in the claims department of the Kemper Insurance Company and also worked at Crouse Hinds.

Survivors include her husband, Victor H.; a daughter, Vicki L. Parsnow; a son, Richard T. Koenig; a brother, Robert Galbraith; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Harter Funeral Home, 9 Washington Ave., Mexico. Burial will be in Mexico Village Cemetery.

Formerly, Marjorie Sullivan of Fernwood, NY, she is survived by her 5 children, Suzanne, George, Karen, Carolee and Debbie; and a sister, Eileen Kirsh, of Buffalo.

A celebration of Marjorie's life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Fernwood, NY as she wished on October 8th at 11:00 am.

There will be a brief ceremony at South Richland Cemetary preceeding the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate this wonderful woman's life!
