Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 3, 1971 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Donald F. Carpenter Dead at 26 ¬Pulaski -Donald F. Carpenter, 36 died Wednesday afternoon at his home, 7546 Price Drive after a long illness. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Foster-Flax Funeral Home, Pulaski, Rev. Edwin A. Potter, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2:30 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Patricia J. Greenfield Carpenter; two daughters, Tina Louise, 7, and Terri Lee, 5; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Carpenter, Pulaski; two brothers, Clayton F., Phoenix, Floyd E., Pulaski; a sister, Mrs. William (Grace) Singleton, Pulaski; a grandmother, Mrs. Lillian Carpenter, Watertown; nieces and nephews. Born January 20, 1935, in Fernwood, a son of Glen and Nira Harmes Carpenter, he was a 1952 graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central School. He entered the Navy in November, 1952, and served in Korea and the Far East. He was discharged in January, 1956. He was employed by Pulaski Metal Products Co., and by Bud Air Tool Company, Port Ontario, until he retired in ill health in April 1969. On June 9, 1956, he married Patricia J. Greenfield in Pulaski. He was a member of the Pulaski Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Dr. Lawrence A. "Larry" Upton, Ph.D., age 79, of Harrisville, PA, passed away at VNA Hospice in Butler, PA on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 9:58 a.m. He was born in Syracuse, NY, Onondaga County on December 21, 1934 to Glenn Eugene and Edith Roth Upton who lived on the 4th generation of the Upton Family Farm. The farm was located near Pulaski, NY, two miles from the east end of Lake Ontario. Larry graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central School, followed by receiving both a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Syracuse University. Later he earned a Master's degree in School Counseling and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Buffalo. Larry leaves his loving wife of 49 years, Eleanor L. "Ellie" Blaisdell Upton at the residence and his four children, Doug Sr. of Syracuse, NY, Tim (Lisa) of DeWitt, NY, Tom (Lisa) of Makanda, IL and Jennifer U. Watts of Clifton, VA; his grandchildren, 2nd Lt. Doug Jr., USMC, Quantico, VA, Spencer, and Haylei Upton, Mercer, PA, Riana Upton, Syracuse, NY, Will and Nathan Upton, DeWitt, NY, Brianna and Annabella Upton, Makanda, IL, Bretton and Cassidy Watts, Clifton, VA; brother, Charles of Silver Spring, MD; nieces and nephews, Chris, Deb, Mike, Valerie, and a special son, Don Zhou of Minneapolis, MN. The family will receive friends at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock on Friday, October 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Masonic service will follow at 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Harrisville United Methodist Church, 301 South Main St., Harrisville, PA on Saturday, October 11 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Canter presiding. Family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville. Donations may be made in Larry's name to the Harrisville United Methodist Church; SRU Foundation, Slippery Rock, PA 16057, VNA Hospice, Butler, PA 16001, or the Butler County MHA, Butler, PA 16001. Barbara J. McCullagh, 67, of 305 Upton Road, died Thursday at her home.
Mrs. McCullagh lived in Pulaski and Williamstown most of her life. She was a claims adjustor for Kemper Insurance Co., Syracuse, for 10 years, retiring in 1996. Previously, she was employed by Williamstown Elementary School and the Shoe Tree store, Camden.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Williamstown.
Born July 3, 1935, in Pulaski, daughter of Ralph and Olive Gayler Galbraith, she graduated from Pulaski Academy in 1953.
A marriage ended in divorce.
Surviving are her companion, Keith Robbins; a daughter, Linda Geary, Destrehan, La.; three sons, Michael McCullagh, Williamstown, Gordon McCullagh, Maple View, and Keith Robbins, Sandy Creek; Mr. Robbins's daughters, Brenda Ostrander, Parish, and Keitha Britton, Williamstown; a sister, Erma Koenig, Mexico; a brother, Robert Galbraith, Lake Placid, 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.

Carol Kleinschimdt, age 80, of Concord, Massachusetts, passed away on October 19, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was the daughter of Kathleen and Burkett Curtiss. She was born on March 21, 1936 in Richland, NY. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University and a Master of Education from Columbia University. She taught elementary school in Chicago and Scotland before moving to Winchester, Massachusetts where she lovingly taught piano lessons for over 30 years. Carol was the President of the New England Piano Teachers Association, and a judge and trainer of judges for the National Guild of Piano Teachers. Upon retirement, Carol traveled frequently, especially to Central America, where she generously supported developing educational and health care institutions. Carol also had a playful side; she loved dancing, swinging on swing sets, and climbing trees.

Carol leaves behind her husband, Klaus Kleinschmidt, her three sons, Andrew, Eric, and Michael Fieleke, six grandchildren, and two brothers.

Watertown Daily Times (NY) - October 4, 1988

PULASKI - Donald R. Hubbard, 53, Otisco, formerly of Pulaski and Syracuse, died Sunday at his home. He had a history of heart problems.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood, with Rev. Richard Pero officiating.

There will be no calling hours. Donations may be made to the Fernwood United Methodist Church.

Foster-Hax Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Surviving are his mother, Ula Hubbard, Otisco; two brothers, Harold, Fernwood, and Howard, Pulaski; two sisters, Marguerite Mance, Alexandria Bay, and Roberta Hager, Mexico, and several nieces and nephews.

Born in Pulaski June 16, 1935, a son of Claude and Ula Snow Hubbard, he was graduated from Pulaski Academy Central High School in 1953, and from Oswego State University College in 1985.

Mr. Hubbard owned and operated Bud-Air Machine Co. at Fernwood for many years. Prior to that, he was employed by the Lagoe Machine Shop, Oswego. For the past four years, he was employed as an instructor at Onondaga Community College, Syracuse.

He moved from Syracuse to Otisco one month ago.

Mr. Hubbard was a member of the Fernwood United Methodist Church and the New York State United Teachers Association. He was also a member and past master of Pulaski Lodge 415 F&AM, and a past Oswego district deputy grand master of Pulaski Lodge 279 Royal Arch Masons. Had been an active member of the Masons for many years. He never married.

Patricia Ellen Brown, aged 87, resident of Lacona and Sandy Creek since 1982, passed away Tuesday at The Cottages at Garden Grove in Cicero, NY. Patricia was born November 12, 1935, in Cicero. The daughter of Gerald Joseph Brosnan and Mary Louise Bearup Brosnan, she graduated from Pulaski High School in 1953. Patricia was married to Alexander Brown on June 12, 1953; he passed away on August 25, 2009. She was employed by NY Telephone for several years. She was a member of the Pulaski Wesleyan Church and also a member of the church’s quilting ministry.

Surviving are one son, Timothy (Robin) Brown of Ashville, NC; four daughters Alexis (Brian) Vonderohe of Las Vegas, NV; Ona Bacon of Kenai, AK; Peggy (Robert) Bolton of Onchito, NY; and Heidi (Rick) Metott of Sandy Creek, NY. She is also survived by her siblings, three brothers, William (Tammy) Brosnan of Orwell, NY; Daniel (Lena) Brosnan of Pulaski, NY; Thomas Brosnan of Richland, NY; two sisters, MaryAnn (Charlie) Haur of Pulaski, NY; and Gayle (Otis) Kinney of Camden, NY. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, December 16th at the Pulaski Wesleyan Church, 4951 US Route 11, Pulaski, NY 13142. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, NY 13142. A spring burial will be held at the North Boylston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the High Braes Refuge, Inc. 196 Waterbury Rd, Redfield, NY 13437.
