Marilyn was born April 27, 1939 in Pulaski, the daughter of Charles F. and Lila M. Jacobson Smith. She graduated from Pulaski Academy School in 1957. Marilyn was employed by the Communications Workers of America in Washington DC for 32 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Volunteer Center of Jefferson County for the past 11 years, accumulating over 20,000 hours of volunteer service, and she was also a member of the Communications Workers of America Union. Surviving, one son Timothy Smith and his companion Lori Costello of Adams Center, two brothers, Carl (Patsy) Smith of Port St. Lucie, FL and David (Ann) Smith, and her lifelong friend Almeda Grandjean of Adams Center. Marilyn is predeceased by her siblings, Francis, Robert, Edna Mae Brown, Ruth Dennie, and Ester Stowell. Bradley, 77, Adams, passed away on May 11th, 2017 under the wonderful care of Hospice staff, at the Hospice House at Ellis Farm, Watertown. She was born September 1, 1939 in Oswego, a daughter to Robert W. and Genevieve Robinson Richardson, Sr. She graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central School in 1958. Sandy worked for South Jefferson School in the cafeteria and was a floral designer with Babcock Florist in Pulaski and Hallett’s Florist in Adams. She enjoyed flower gardening, NASCAR and visiting with family and friends. Sandy had a Valentine's Day wedding to Jerry Bradley February 14, 1975. They recently celebrated 42 years of marriage. Her first marriage to Willard M. Mahaffy ended in divorce. She is survived by her husband Jerry, Adams; her daughter Mary Elizabeth “Beth” (Mark) Shelmidine, Lorraine and her son Scott Mahaffy, Douglasville, GA; her sister Betty (John Wesley) Webb, Lake George; her brother Kevin (Sue) Richardson, Watertown; a brother-in-law, Jay Young, Mannsville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sandy was predeceased by a brother Robert W. Richardson, Jr., who passed away April 18, 2008. In accordance with Sandy’s wishes, there will be no services. Spedding, 72, beloved husband to Doris (Gordon) Spedding of Vernon, peacefully passed away Sunday morning after a brief illness. Son of the late William and Flora Maybell (Smith) Spedding, Thomas was born in Pulaski, NY on February 11, 1940. He enlisted in the US Air Force after high school and was stationed in Wyoming for four years. While serving he met and married his wife Doris. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a BS in Chemistry and worked for the Bureau of Land Management. After 21 years in Wyoming, the family moved to Waynoka, Oklahoma where Thomas went to work for USPCI. He retired in 2004 and he and Doris moved to Connecticut to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren. Thomas loved fishing and playing on computers, especially online gaming, and participating in reenactments from US history. He and his family enjoyed shooting muzzleloader rifles and dressing in period clothing from the Western mountains. He was a colorful character with an irreverent sense of humor. Thomas was a loving husband, father, and grandpa who is loved and mourned and will never be forgotten. In addition to Doris, his wife of 51 years, he leaves a daughter, Dina Bates and her husband Christopher of Windsor; a sister, Irene Gugula and her husband Frank of Hannibal, NY; four grandchildren, Aaron Michael Jacobs and his wife Amanda of Enid, OK, Scott Thomas Burton of Enfield, Brittany Paige Burton and Alexa Christine Bates, both of Windsor. Thomas was predeceased by two brothers, Edward, and Clifford Spedding and a sister, Anna Tift. A celebration of his life will be held 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue in Windsor.
