      Susan E. Poole, 87, of 121 LaFayette Road died Friday in Mercy Hospital, Buffalo.

      Born in Orwell, she was a schoolteacher on Long Island and in Syracuse for more than 40 years. She belonged to the New York State Retired Teachers Association.

      Mrs. Poole was a communicant of the First Church of the Nazarene.

      Her husband, Rev. Harold E. Poole, died in 1988.

      Surviving are a sister, Ruth Potter of Marion, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

      Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at the Fairchild & Meech Syracuse Chapel, the Rev. David L. Speicher officiating.

      Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.

      Calling hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 500 W. Onondaga St.
