  William Sweet was born in Rhoade Island in 1792. Parents unknown at this time.. His family moved to Rensselaer NY sometime in earily 1800.. He married Elizabeth Betsy Coon on 24 Aug. 1824 in Rensselaer NY. They moved to Sandy Creek, Oswago NY sometime in the earily 1825/30. They farmed the land they bought at Sandy Creek for many years until his death in 1871. His daughter Sally Sweet Coon 1826-1877 and son-in-law, George Coon 1815-1877 ran the farm after his death..
