- Newspaper Obituary - December 20, 1922 Pulaski Democrat - Mrs. Laura Cronk - Mrs. Laura Cronk, wife of Arthur Cronk, died at her home in Oswego Center, Dec. 14, from an attack of scarlet fever. There has been a small epidemic of the disease in that section seven well defined cases having been reported to the health authorities of the town, but Mrs. Cronk is the first death, all of the others are getting along nicely, it is reported. From the first almost, Mrs. Cronk had been very ill. She was first stricken about a week ago, and death came at about 9 o'clock last night. Mrs. Cronk was born in Oswego town 48 years ago and had lived here all her life. She was a member of the Oswego Center M. E. Church and of the Missionary Society and took a deep interest in the church affairs. Besides her husband, Arthur Cronk, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. William McLaughlin, two sisters, Mrs. Annabel Swann, Minetto, Mrs. Blanch Philliips and four brothers, Joseph, of Pulaski, William, Cleveland, and Jesse McLaughlin, of Oswego Center. Mr. and Mrs. Cronk once lived in Pulaski.
