    • Peter lived his whole life in Deckards hamlet in Wayne Twp., Crawford County Pennsylvania, on the border of Venango County. He remained at home with his mother managing a small farm that surrounded the old home until her death in 1892, whereupon he inherited the property. The original house had burned in 1891 and a newer home was built by Peter which still stands in Deckards. At the age of 46 Peter was united in marriage with a kinsman, Mary Adaline Crouch, from Venango County. Together they raised four children on their small farm. They belonged to the German Reformed Church of Deckards. Great-Grandson Shawn Doyle placed a monument on the graves of Peter and Addie in 1994. Both are buried in the Peter's Corner Cemetery just down the road from the Seeley farm.
