      Mr. Ridgeway was born in Boylston and educated in Sandy Creek schools. He lived in Niagara Falls since 1980.

      Mr. Ridgeway retired from Welch Construction Co., Rochester.

      His wife, the former Marie Hale, died in 1977.

      Surviving are two sons, Jack of Virginia and Stephen of Camillus; a daughter, Elizabeth Mendez of Syracuse; a brother, James H. of Lacona; two sisters, Avis Branche of Florida and Olive Hammond of Pulaski; several grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

      Spallino Funeral Home, Niagara Falls, had charge of arrangements.
