      Winter Haven, FL, formally of Wolcott, NY: Passed peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday, March 1, 2015 after a long and courageous fight against lung cancer. Predeceased by her parents Anthony and Margarette, and her brother Donald LeVecchi. Karen was born in Rochester, NY on November 8, 1951. She was a graduate of Webster High School, worked for the Village of Wolcott, Electromark, and was the past owner operator of the Sears store in Wolcott, NY. Karen was a loving wife, mother and friend, who will be dearly missed. She enjoyed the warm outdoors, golfing, stained glass, bingo, playing cards, and socializing with friends. Karen is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, John W. Monson, son John (Amy) Monson, son Eric (Angela) Monson, son David (Katie) Monson, step daughter Christine (Chris) Cook, step daughter Stephanie (Darren) Dahl, grandchildren Austin, Audrey, Emma, Jack, Addison, Damien, Jaxon, Kaiden, Mason, Cambree and sister Ruth (Dick) LaBarr. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Memorial services will be held on March 20, 2015, 11am at Four Lakes Gold Club, Winter Haven, NY and April 11, 2015, 11am at St. Mary Magdalen Rectory, Wolcott, NY.
