      Phillip F. "Squirrel" Reitz, 83, 3236 county Route 2,Pulaski,died Wednesday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

      He was born in Oswego. He was a construction worker affiliated with Laborers Union Local 214 and retired from Local 40 in Syracuse. He was an Army veteran of World War II, served in the invasion of Normandy and was awarded two Purple Hearts.

      His wife, Elizabeth Jane Stacy Reitz, died in 1992.

      Survivors: Four daughters, Brenda Valley and Debra Reitz, both of Pulaski, Jane Dona of Oswego and Sandra Burns of Tennessee; a son, Phillip of Oswego; two sisters, Hazel AuClair of Oswego and Anna Bremmerman of Cicero; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

      Services: 9 a.m. Monday at Nelson Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Burial, St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling hours, 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Nelson Funeral Home, 124 W. Fifth St., Oswego.
