Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 12, 1947 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Mrs. Mowers Buried At Fernwood Cemetery - Mrs. Mabel Mowers, 43, died Monday afternoon in St. Joseph's hospital, Syracuse. She was the wife of Ernest 0. Mowers, Colosse. They had been married 3V2 years. Mrs. Mowers was born at Hermon, New York, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Hunt. Mrs. Mowers lived in Colosse for 35 years. She was a member of the Parish Methodist church and the Parish Rebekah lodge. Surviving are the husband, a step-son Roswell Mowers, and an aunt, Mrs. Clifford Hicks of Auburn. Also other aunts, uncles and cousins. The body was at the Harter funeral home until Wednesday and then was taken to the Baptist church at Colosse for services at 2 p.m. The Rev. Henry Fisher, Parish Methodist church officiated. Burial was in Willis cemetery at Fernwood.

Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, October 11, 1975 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Mrs. Hazel Irene Hunter, 62, of 7420 Salina Street, was dead on arrival at Oswego Hospital Saturday morning. She was born June 13, 1913 in Pulaski, daughter of Ellis and Pearl Sprague Church. She graduated from Pulaski Academy in 1929 and attended Albany State Teachers College. She was employed as a telephone operator by the General Telephone Company. She married the late Arnold A. Hunter, who died in January, 1975. She is survived by two sons, Thomas A. Hunter, Cicero and Robert L. Hunter, Syracuse. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Richland cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 3:30 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
