PULASKI - Margaret "Peg" Hamilton, 77, County Route 2, died Tuesday at her home.
Mrs. Hamilton was the first female bus driver for the Pulaski School District and was employed by Oswego County Opportunities from 1972 to 1997, retiring as director of senior services.
Born Jan. 12, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Evelyn Sullivan Hudson, she graduated in 1949 from Ellisburgh (Ohio) High School and received an associate's degree in 1951 from North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset. She resided in Pulaski since 1959, previously living in Flushing.
She married William F. Hamilton on Oct. 27, 1951.
Mrs. Hamilton was a member of Christ Our Light Parish, and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was national director of National Association of Nutrition and Aging Services.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Dr. Laura Hamilton, Lacona; two sons and their wives Martin "Casey" and Kelly, Baldwinsville, and Thaddeus "Tad" and Debi, Pulaski; two sisters, Carolyn Towner and Katherine Palmer, both of Ellisburgh; a brother, David Hudson, Adams; and six grandchildren.
A brother, Richard Hudson, and a granddaughter died before her.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ Our Light Parish.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St.
