Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, December 8, 1960 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Rites Held for Mrs. C. Spicer - Services for Mrs. Helen Obleman Spicer, 78, widow of Clarence J. Spicer, who died Friday morning in the Oswego Hospital, were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald Brownell, pastor of the Richland Church of Christ, officiated. Interment was in Richland Cemetery. She had been ill about two weeks and hospitalized nine days. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Irene) Currie of Sandy Pond; a son, Ronald C. Spicer of Syracuse; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Charlotte Nichols of Richland, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Spicer died June 2, 1960. Mrs. Spicer was born in Richland on June 16, 1882, where she had resided most of her life. She was the oldest daughter of Peter and Helen Fox Obleman. She was married to Mr. Spicer April 8, 1903, and was a member of the Richland Church of Christ. Mr. and Mrs. Spicer operated a farm on the Ridge Road for many years, moving into the village of Richland in 1947.
