    • William “Bill” Hogan, son of Irvin Stephen Hogan and Daisy R. (Veale) Hogan, was born April 30, 1921 in Fort Dodge, IA, and passed away at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 93.

      Bill was a US Navy aircraft mechanic during WWII and retired from Douglas Aircraft. He worked as a real estate broker, as well as a builder in both California and Missouri. He was an active member of the Ozark 1st Church of the Nazarene.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife, Phyllis Hogan; his second wife, Sylvia Hogan; a grandson, Gregory Gabel; and his sisters, Betty Emerson and Ina Glee Campbell.

      Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hendrex Hogan; his children, Lynn Clements, Victorville, CA, Dennis Hogan, Waco, TX, Wenda Ackerman, Orem, UT and Suzanne Gabel and her husband, Jim, Buckeye, AZ; three step-children (Sylvia’s children); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield, will be in the MO Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.

      Visitation will be from noon until service time in Barnes Family Funeral Home.
