    • Newspaper Obituary -February 7, 2008 Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Betty L. Ahstrand, 74, of LaFayette, died Wednesday at Community General Hospital after a brief Illness. She was a life resident of LaFayette and a graduate of Onondaga Central Schools, Betty worked many years for Onondaga Community College. Surviving are her daughters, Lori (Carl) Proman, and Valarie Ahlstrand; grandsons, Nicholas and Andrew Proman; sisters, Nancy (Gordon) Ireland, and Judy (Leon) Hekiert; brothers, Douglas (Pat) Neu, and Gene (Joan) Neu; and nieces and nephews.
