He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was predeceased by one son, Michael, 1996. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Ada Hubbard Staring; three sons, Roland, Parish, Clifford, Jr., Saratoga Springs, Eric, Parish; four daughters, Sandra Taylor, Tuscon, AZ, Sharon MacPherson, Parish, Denise Zierke, Virginia, Greta Amicco, Fulton; one brother, Irving, Williamstown; 25 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
