    • Nellie M. Walker, 81

      Nellie M. Walker, 81, of Route 13, Camden, died Wednesday, April 20, 1983 in Rome City Hospital following a brief illness.
      She was born Aug. 3, 1901, in the town of Westmoreland to Charles and Josephine Mahar Gifford. She married Lloyd Walker on May 26, 1918, in Williamstown. He died in 1944.
      She moved from Westmoreland to Amboy before her marriage and had lived, in Camden since 1926. She attended Williamstown area schools and Westdale Federated Church:

      Surviving are three sons, Lionel of Rome, Simeon of Altmar and William of Camden; a daughter, Nellie Evans of Williamstown; four sisters, Pearl Phillips of Williamstown, Hattie Phillips of Parish, Marjorie Johnson of Camden and Helen Healey of Williamstown; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Three sons, Lewellen, Devee and George, are dead.
      Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sanborn-McDaniels Funeral Home; burial in Westdale Cemetery.
