- Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, January 19, 1993 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Albion Accident Victim Daniel McNitt Dies - Daniel G. McNitt, 43, of 7770 Richland Road, died Monday at the State University of New York Health Science Center, Syracuse, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident Saturday night in the town of Albion. According to state police, Mr. McNitt's car slid off the road in the town of Albion and slammed into a tree. He was removed unconscious from his car, which had been traveling west on state Route 13, and was transported first by ambulance, then by helicopter, to the Health Science Center. Police were unable to say whether Mr. McNitt had been speeding, but said the pavement was dry at the time of the 6:30 p.m. accident. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Surviving are his wife, Deborah A.; a son, Daniel G. Jr., Pulaski; two daughters, Tammi Hull and Jaime McNitt, both of Pulaski; a granddaughter; his father and stepmother, Elmer and Beverly McNitt, Adams Center; three brothers, Leroy E. and Gary F., both of Pulaski, and Edwin L., Altmar; a sister, Susan Barrett, Henderson; a half-brother, Robert McNitt, Mannsville, and three half-sisters, Donna Nickerson, Watertown, Diana Busler, Adams, and Kathy Jones, Evans Mills. Born May 7, 1949, in Syracuse, a son of Elmer and Velva Twitchell McNitt, he attended Pulaski schools and married Deborah Walker July 26, 1969. Mr. McNitt was a life resident of the Pulaski area. He was employed with Carl Perham Construction Company, Camden, and previously was employed by Eason Construction Company and Crouse-Hinds Company, Syracuse. He was an Army veteran.
