- SIMEON J. WALKER, ALTMAR, DIES IN OSWEGO

Simeon J. Walker, 66, County Route 48, died Thursday at Oswego Hospital.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the St. John the Evangelist Church, Pulaski, with the Rev. Anthony Keeffe officiating. Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski.
Surviving are his wife, Norma M.; three sons, Gary S. and Larry W., both of Williamstown, and Terry L., Altmar; two daughters, Deborah A. McNitt, Pulaski, and Linda G. Wicks, Fabius; 16 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; a brother, William, Williamstown; a sister, Nellie Evans, Williamstown; two aunts, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Born on Dec. 4, 1927, in the town of Florence, a son of Lloyd and Nellie Gifford Walker, he attended Williamstown schools and moved to Altmar in 1950.
He married Norma Wheeler on July 29, 1950, in St. Mary's Church.
Mr. Walker was employed by the Camden Wire Co. and the town of Albion Highway Department for several years. He also worked for the Oswego County Highway Department for 24 years, retiring as a foreman in 1985, and most recently was a part-time rural mail carrier for the Altmar Post Office.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Altmar, the Doe Ridge Hunting Club, Ithaca, and the Civil Service Employees Association.

Simeon J. Walker, 66, of county Route 48 died Thursday at Oswego Hospital.
He was born in the town of Florence and lived in Williamstown before moving to Altmar in 1950.
Mr. Walker retired in 1985 as a foreman for the Oswego County Highway Department. He had also worked for Camden Wire and the town of Albion Highway Department.
He most recently was a part-time letter carrier for the Altmar Post Office and was a member of the CSEA.
Mr. Walker was a member of St. Mary's Church.
He was a member of the Doe Ridge Hunting Club, Ithaca.
