- Newspaper Obituary - June 25, 1989 Syracuse Herald American - Ruth M. Fort, 88, formerly of Springbrook Apartments, died Friday at the Madonna Home in Watertown. A native of Sauquoit, Mrs. Fort attended Sauquoit District Schools and was married to Edwin Fort in 1927. He died in 1977. From 1945-1973, Mrs. Fort lived in Syracuse. She worked at The Addis Co. stores for many years and moved from Syracuse to Pulaski in 1973. Mrs. Fort was a member of Robert Edwards Post No. 358 American Legion Auxiliary, the Pulaski Grange and the Pulaski Senior Citizens Friday Bowling League. She is survived by one daughter, Gwen Fiegl Soule of Sandy Creek; two brothers, Russell Howlett of Oswego and Albert Howlett of Syracuse; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home in Pulaski. Burial will be in Pulaski Cememtery. Calling hours will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 7385 Park Street.
