He was a trainer and driver in standard bred harness racing and a member of the U.S. Trotting Association. Survivors: His wife of 39 years, the former Carolyn Harrington; two daughters, Cynthia Minckler of Vernon and Laurie Reynolds of Richland; three sons, Richard, Wayne and John, all of Vernon; three sisters, Joyce Wieland of Hastings, Barbara Shutts of Parish and Clarice Gates of Mexico; two brothers, Paul of Vernon Center and Harold of Mexico; three grandchildren. Services: 6:45 p.m. today at Malecki Funeral Home. Burial will be in Vernon. Calling hours, 5 to 6:45 p.m. today at the funeral home, 23 Front St., Vernon.
