- Newspaper Obituary - August 8, 2003 Post Standard - Ethel Loura Peashey August 6, 2003 - Ethel Loura Peashey, 93, of Oswego, died Wednesday, August 6, 2003, at the Seneca Hill Nursing Home. She was born in Baldwinsville and was a former resident of Clay, NY and Inverness, FL. Ethel was a former employee of Rollway Bearing and oethpeas the North Syracuse School District. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clay, the Clay Fire Department Auxiliary, Baldwinsville Women of the Moose, and the Good Sam Camping Club. She is predeceased by her first husband Earl Loura who died in 1961 and her second husband Edward Peashey who died in 1996, a brother Lester Lory and a grandson Eugene DeRycke. Ethel is survived by: four daughters, Beverly Willis of Lake Wales, FL, Earleen DeRycke and Barbara Harke, both of Clay, and Ethel Kay Anderson of Badger, MN; a stepdaughter Helen L. Lyons of Baldwinsville; three stepsons, Edward W. Peashey Jr. of Wrightsville, PA, Thomas J. Peashey of Rochester, and Charles B. Peashey of Brockport; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Saturday, August 9, 2003, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a service to follow at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 Route 31, Baldwinsville. Contributions may be made to the Seneca Hill Nursing Home Activity Fund, 20 Manor Dr., Oswego, NY 13126, or Trinity United Methodist Church, 8396 Morgan Road, Clay, NY 13041.
