Vada P. Watson

Vada P. Watson, 80, of Mexico, died Monday at Loretto of Oswego. She was born in Henderson, NY, daughter of the late Clark and Ethel Phillips Gibbs. She owned and operated Vada's Restaurant, and operated Jack's Tavern and the Cibro Gas Station, Liquor Store and Grocery Store. Predeceased by her husband, Howard, in 1981. She was also predeceased by four brothers, Charles, Ronald, Robert, Herbert.
Surviving: one daughter, Marlene Jones, Mexico; one son, Edward Watson, Mexico; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace Soule, Pulaski, and Darlene Taylor, Henderson.
Funeral services will be 11 am. Friday from the Harter Funeral Home, 9 Washington Ave., Mexico, NY. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the McFee Ambulance Corps. or the Mexico Volunteer Fire Dept.
