- Newspaper Obituary - November 16, 1981 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski - David G. Howlett, 38, of 7417 Park St., was pronounced dead on arrival at Oswego City Hospital Sunday morning from injuries he sustained in a one-vehicle accident in the village of Richland. State police said his van went off the left side of County Route 48 as he rounded a curve at 8:05 a.m. When he overcorrected, the truck overturned, went off the right side of the road, and struck a tree, troopers said. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Pulaski Baptist Church, Rev. Virgil Hager, pastor of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Pulaski Cemetery. Surviving are a son, Russell, at home; two daughters, Susan and Tammi, both at home; his father, Alfred Waite, Watertown; his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Howlett, Pulaski; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Myrtle) Armstrong, Pulaski; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Finen, Tampa, Fla.; nieces and nephews. Born October 9, 1943 at Watertown the son of Alfred and Melva Finen Waite, he attended the Pulaski Academy and Central School and was employed for many years as a carpenter by local construction companies. His marriage to Linda Stolar in 1964 ended in a divorce.
