Newspaper Obituary - March 7, 1923 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - In the death of Mrs. Amanda Woodard, widow of A. N. Woodard, of Port Ontario, which occurred Sunday, following a long illness, the town loses one of its oldest and most respected citizens. Mrs. Woodard was born in this town, January 8, 1843, and has spent her whole life here. She had lived in the house where she died for about 67 years. Mr. Woodard died eight years ago. She is survived by two nephews, John North, of Pulaski and Rufus North, of Daysville and two nieces, Mrs. George Hendricks, of Mexico and Mrs. Bert L. Chapman, of Phoenix. Funeral services were conducted at the home, yesterday by Rev. W. S. Warren, pastor of Pulaski Baptist Church. Burial at Daysville cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Woodard furnished news from Port Ontario for the Democrat for many years. The editor was a close friend of both and will long remember their friendship to the Democrat and the editor.
