    • Newspaper Obituary - June 2, 2008 Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Kathleen F. Novak May 31, 2008 - Kathleen F. "Kathy" Novak, 67, of East River Dr., Phoenix, NY, died Saturday. Born in Phoenix, NY, to her late parents, Charles P. and E. Adelia (Richardson) Milligan on July 16, 1940, Kathy was a literature availability manager for Carrier International, Syracuse, for 25 years, retiring in 1994. Later she operated food catering services at Country Time Cafe, Phoenix, her daughter Mary Anne's business. Kathy was a member of First Congregational Church. She served as a trustee for the village of Phoenix and more recently was on the planning committee for Phoenix Alumni Association, 50 years, Class of 1958. She was predeceased by her son, Charles A. Novak, on July 5, 1981. Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Michael E. Novak; two sons, Michael J. "Micky" and his wife, Gretchen Novak, and Martin "Marty" Novak, all of Phoenix; one daughter, Mary Anne and her husband, David Quintal of Pennellville; one brother, Bert and his wife, Barbara Milligan of Phoenix; aunt, Mary Narewski of Fulton; mother-in-law, Virginia Albino of Syracuse; five grandchildren, Jessica Novak, Nicholas and Nathan Novak, Steven Quintal and Katrina Quintal; many nieces and nephews; and many close friends. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at First Congregational UCC Church, 43 Bridge St., Phoenix, with the Rev. Lauri J. Craig officiating. Burial in Phoenix Rural Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main Street, Phoenix, NY 13135.
