Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, January 17, 1979 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Elizabeth M. Whaley, 67, of Canning Factory Road, Richland, died January 10 in House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown, where she had been a patient since January 3. Born April 10, 1911 at Rodman, daughter of Arthur and Bertha Waite White, she was a graduate of Adams Central High School and was married to Orley H. Whaley August 11, 1934 in Belleville. Mr. Whaley died September 19, 1968. Mrs. Whaley was employed at the Pulaski Academy and Central School as a teacher's aide, retiring in June. She was a member of the auxiliary of the Richland Fire Department, the Half-Shire Historical Society, and the Richland Cemetery Association. She was also a Republican Party committeewoman and a past member of Springbrook Rebekah Lodge. Surviving area son, Charles E. of Richland; two grandchildren; and a brother, Norman White of Belleville. Funeral services were 2 p.m. January 13 at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, Rev. Dolen Morris, pastor of the Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Spring burial will be in Richland Cemetery.
