Jewett, 87, Partrick Drive, died Friday at theChurch of God Home, Carlisle, Pennsylvania., where he had resided sinceDecember 1992. The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Homewith the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in DaysvilleCemetery, town of Richland. Calling hours will be 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday atthe funeral home. Donations may be made to the Pulaski Senior Nutrition Center,care of Park United Methodist Church, 7445 Hubble St., Pulaski, N.Y. 13142; orto the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, 70 E. Surviving are a son, William P., Liverpool; adaughter, Ruth Elanor Hoffman, Carlisle; a brother, Rufus, Middlebury,Vermont.; three sisters, Lyda Brown and Elizabeth Jewett, both of Middlebury,and Ellen Delaire, Hinesburg, Vermont.; four grandchildren and agreat-grandson. Born June 1, 1908, in Cornwall, Vermont., son of Samuel H. andMary Nettie MacMurtry Jewett, he was a 1926 graduate of Middlebury High Schooland married Elsie G. Tousley on January 12, 1935. Mrs. Jewett died September27, 1981. He was employed by Douglaston Manor from 1927 to 1950, and was apoultry farmer from 1950 until retiring in 1980. He was a member of WeybridgeCongregational Church, Middlebury, Pulaski Masonic Lodge 415, Free and AcceptedMasons, and the Pulaski Grange.
