    • Newspaper Obituary - March 9, 1991 Post Standard - Russell M. Howlett, 81, a former resident of Jefferson Street, died Friday at Pontiac Nursing Home, Oswego. A native of Sauquoit, Mr. Howlett also lived 28 years in Tampa, Fla., before moving to Pulaski in 1986. His wife, the former Melva P. Finen, died in 1986. Mr. Howlett was disabled Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Howlett was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Pulaski Senior Citizens. He also was a member of Robert Edwards Post 358, American Legion, as well as a post in Tampa and the Disabled American Veterans. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Myrtle Ann Armstrong of Seneca Falls; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pulaski. Spring burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 7385 Park St.
