    • Newspaper Obituary - June 19, 1987 Post Standard - Graveside services for Ernest L. MacFerran, 69, a former Throopsville resident who died Feb. 14 in Tampa, Fla., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Pine Hill Cemetery. Born in Ilion, Mr. MacFerran lived in Throopsville many years before moving to Florida in 1948. He was an engineer and retired from City Service Corp. Mr. MacFerran was a Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, the former Pearl Stook; a son, Ernest L. Jr. of Lutz, Fla.; and two daughters, Nancy Kurtz and Joanne Brazill, both of Tampa.
