- Newspaper Obituary - December 12, 2010 Syracuse Post Standard - Leigh G. Faulkner December 10, 2010 Leigh G. Faulkner, 69, of Parish, died Friday at Oswego Hospital. He was born in Panther Lake, son of the late Stanley and Verna Williams Faulkner. He was paper machine superintendent for Felix Schoeller Technical Papers of Pulaski, retiring in 1998. He was an Army veteran, serving from 1958-1961, and was a member of Russell Tryon Post #1435, the American Legion, in Altmar, NY. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, the former Judith Ecker; four sons, Michael (Mary) Faulkner of Altmar, Kyle (Mandy) Faulkner of Fillmore, NY, David (Jessie) Faulkner of China Grove, NC, and Scott (Angie) Faulkner of Staley, NC; eight grandchildren; two great-granchildren; and one brother, Dale Faulkner of Constantia. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday from Harter Funeral Home, 2983 W. Main St., Parish, NY. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Russell Tryon Post #1435, the American Legion, Altmar, NY, or APW Dollars for Scholars.
