    • AUGUSTA, Ga. - Gordon Lee Carr entered into rest on Tuesday December 21, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens GA. A graveside service will be held 2 PM Sunday December 26, 2010 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the ceremonial detachment of Fort Gordon. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at Bellevue Memorial Gardens chapel. Born in Fulton NY. Mr. Carr served in the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He received a National Defense medal, good conduct medal, Vietnam Service medal with four bronze stars, the Vietnam Campaign medal and the Army Commendation Medal. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Dean Carter; son and daughter-in-law Robert and Brenda Carr; grandchildren Jennifer Spivey, Julie (Sean) Cochran; and dog Dooley.
