    • Mack Simeon Elliott, 78, of Elizabethton, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at his residence. He was the son of the late Brown and Hazel Shoun Elliott. Mr. Elliott was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, former Fire Inspector for the Elizabethton Fire Department, Chairman of the Board at Crossroads, and a former member of the Lions Club in Pound, VA. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Helen Ruth Ledford Elliott; daughter, LeAnn Pearce, of Elizabethton; son, Mack Elliott II, of Elizabethton; step-daughter, Leanna Ledford, of Elizabethton; seven grandchildren, Lisa Blevins and husband, Dna, Amy Brooks and husband, Cliff, Sara Eible, Megan Dula-Elliott, David Elliott, Zachary Dula-Elliott, and Kyliegh Elliott; four great grandchildren; sister, Mary Evelyn "Lyn" Elliott Deillinger, of Williamsburg, VA; special friend, Steve Murray; and one niece. The memorial service for Mr. Elliott will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Elizabethton Fire Department.
