Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, February 15, 1937 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Survives Wife Only 48 Hours ¬Deforest Butterworth, 84, Dies at Home in Town of Albion - Pulaski, February 15 - Deforest Butterworth, lifelong resident of the town of Albion, died at his home there at midnight Friday, about 48 hours after the death of his wife, Mrs. Ida May Butterworth. He was 84 years old and had been ill about a week. Mr. Butterworth was born in Albion, September 1, 1852. He had been engaged in farming all his life. His parents were the late William H. and Samantha Wright Butterworth. During his earlier life he attended the Methodist church. Surviving are two sons, Carlton and Isaac Butterworth of Albion. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Foster funeral home, Pulaski, with burial in Riverside cemetery, Rome road. Funeral services for Mrs. Butterworth were held Friday afternoon.
