    • Newspaper Obituary - November 5, 1993 Syracuse Herald Journal - Frederick C. Burroughs Jr., 78, of Kings Court, Camillus, died Thursday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. Mr. Burroughs was a life resident of Syracuse. He retired as owner of Frederick C. Burroughs Polishing and Buffing Co. Mr. Burroughs was a member of Drumlins Country Club and the Pastime Athletic Club. Surviving are his wife, the former Rita McCarthy; a son, Frederick C. III of Blacksburg, Va.; his mother, Caroline Burroughs of Manlius; a brother, John E. of Avon Park, Fla.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Central New York Region of the American Diabetes Association, 1603 W. Genesee St., Syracuse 13204.
