- Newspaper Obituary - March 21, 2000 Watertown Daily Times - Donald C. Thomas, 62, of 15 Colby St., died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, Syracuse. Mr. Thomas was a machinist at Washington Iron Works, Seattle, Wash., before his retirement in 1975. He moved to Star Lake from Phoenix in 1987. Born Nov. 11, 1937, in Syracuse, son of Donald E. and Susan M. Mosher Thomas, he was a veteran of the Air Force. Mr. Thomas was a member of Callimachus Masonic Lodge 36, Phoenix, and Phoenix United Methodist Church. Surviving is his wife, the former Beverly A. Clute; three daughters, Brenda J. Thomas, Richville, Bethany J. Rowell, Biloxi, Miss., and Carol A. Thomas, Phoenix; a stepdaughter, Kathleen A. Waldron, Phoenix; a son, Brian J. Thomas, Phoenix; two stepsons, Brian J. Clute, Phoenix, and Barry E. Clute, Syracuse; a sister, Ellen Farnham, Rochester; a brother, Hal Thomas, Cincinnati, Ohio; seven grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren. There will be no funeral or calling hours. The body was donated to science. Arrangements are with Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
