- Newspaper Obituary - January 14, 2006 Times Herald-Record - Virginia 'Ginny' Maxwell a longtime resident of Hurleyville, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2006 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 73. The daughter of Ralph S. and Mabel H. Court Young, she was born on November 7, 1931 in Manheim, N.Y. Ginny was a co-owner of the Hang Out Saloon in Ferndale, N.Y. and a member of the Hurleyville United Methodist Church. She leaves behind three sons, Joseph and his wife Debbie of Liberty, John and his wife, Maureen of Monticello, Patrick and his wife Paige of So. Fallsburg; one daughter, Jan Pekny and her husband Peter of Ferndale; her grandchildren: 10 grandsons and four granddaughters; one great-grandson, Adam Cerquoni and two special friends, Barbara DeGraw and Barbara Windecker. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward; her two children, Edward and Sandra and one granddaughter, Katie Pekny. There will be a Memorial Service held for Ginny at the Hurleyville United Methodist Church, Main Street Hurleyville on Sunday, January 15 at 3 p.m. The Rev. Bob Pinto will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hurleyville United Methodist Church, Main Street, Hurleyville, NY 12747.
