- Newspaper Obituary - January 4, 2006 Syracuse Post Standard - Lillian L. Murray, aged 89, life resident of Fernwood for the past 70 years, passed away Sunday at Morningstar Nursing Home in Oswego. Lillian was born June 25, 1926 in Mexico, the daughter of Lawrence and Madora Morton Rose. She graduated from Mexico High School in 1943. Lillian married Clarence Grant Murray on September 29, 1946, and he passed away August 30, 1995. She was employed by Oswego County Department of Social Services for 23 years, retiring in 1983. She was also employed by Carrier Corp for 10 years. Surviving are one son, Gary R. (Sue) Murray of Fernwood; one daughter, Susanne R. (Robert) Hatfield of Pulaski; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, burial in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m., prior to the funeral.
