- Newspaper Obituary - November 16, 2004 The Citizen - Auburn, New York - OWASCO -- Ethel Mead Azzarelli, 95, of the Fairport Baptist Home, Fairport, formerly of 41 Letchworth St., Owasco, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at Highland Hospital, Rochester. Born in Niles, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Anna Mead. Mrs. Azzarelli was an active member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Violet Oliphant (John) of Lima and Sharlene Cady of Henrietta; nine grandchildren, John B. Oliphant, Christy Harrington, Amy Crawford, Michelle Protzman, Julianna Wendt, Richard, Robert and David Horr and Kathy Goodall; 12 great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Dorothy Hunter of Bristol, Tenn. and Beverly of Auburn; and good friend, Margaret Sickles. Mrs. Azzarelli was predeceased by her son, Robert Hunter, in December 2000; and by her husband of 60 years, Bart Azzarelli in September 1996. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at Langham Funeral Home, 75 E. Genesee St. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 89 Letchworth St., Owasco, with the Rev. Richard Dryer of Elim Gospel Church, Lima, officiating. Burial will be in Owasco Rural Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Cayuga-Owasco Lakes Historical Society, 14 W. Cayuga St., Moravia, NY 13118, in her memory.
